Gina focuses her legal practice on estate planning which includes; probate, living trusts, special needs trusts and wills. She is dedicated to helping families from the devastating legal effects of disability and death. With proper planning, individuals and families can avoid unnecessary court proceedings, protect their assets, continue their legacies through strategic charitable giving, and provide for the security of loved ones. Gina learned firsthand the effects of failing to plan when her rancher father was killed in a vehicle accident without any planning documents in place requiring her to probate her father’s extensive estate, including business and cattle operations. As a result she went to law school determined to help others avoid the added devastation of an often complicated and expensive legal process.

Ms. Leguria’s experience includes working as a senior advisor to the Stanislaus County Sheriff and with the California State Sheriff’s Association legislative team at the State Capitol (Sacramento) and work in higher education in the University of California, California State University and California Community College systems.

In October 2009, Gina founded The Law Firm of Gina Leguria, a focused her firm entirely to estate planning, elder law, and related matters. As a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys (AAEPA), she has consistently completed a minimum of 36 hours of annual Continuing Legal Education (more than required by the California State Bar) in areas pertaining to estate planning, elder law, and taxation. Ms. Leguria is an active member of the California State Bar. Gina has addressed numerous professional and community organizations and she regularly conducts public and private seminars on estate planning, elder law, and related matters.

Gina combines a background in public service with a wide range of legal and personal experience to provide clients with a uniquely practical perspective. She is committed to providing her clients with excellence in estate planning.

Over the years, The Law Firm of Gina Leguria has helped families preserve and pass on their hard-earned wealth through wise estate planning choices, providing them a peace of mind.

Ms. Leguria graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, majoring in Agricultural Business Management. She has a Master’s in Business Administration from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, and was awarded a Juris Doctorate from University of Pacific McGeorge School of Law.

Gina has been married to her husband, Jack, for over 20 years. They have two lovely daughters and enjoy watching their girls play softball and a variety of other sports. When not on a softball field or basketball court they can be found at most any sporting event.

As a family living with Type 1 Diabetes they are active supporters of the Diabetes Youth Families organization’s Bearskin Meadow Camp and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Gina and her family are active parishioners at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Cared enough to give it their all during our time of need.
Gina and Jack truly went above and beyond on very short notice to prepare a Transfer on Death Deed for my sister in failing health. She even took the time, without an appointment, to explain the different types of deeds with me and why this one was the best option. Always professional, kind and responsive. I live in Nevada, but have property in California. The law firm has a client for life. I'll be back if I need an attorney for California assets.
