I feel blessed that my husband and I found Kristi Barnard in 2021 when a false claim was made against my husband. She immediately got to work and was able to get the case thrown out. Since then, Ms. Barnard has represented my husband with custody cases. Most recently we concluded a case that lasted o...ver a year regarding the safety of my husbands’ youngest child. Through out the case Ms. Barnard gave her professional opinion, set realistic expectations, provided support, and direction that lead to the successful conclusion of the case. My husband and I are so grateful to Ms. Barnard and all she has done for our family.

There are not enough words I could type that would convey my absolute appreciation and respect for Ms. Kristi Barnard. I am a father who had had some serious accusations made against me that would have altered my career path. In 2021, I hired Ms. Barnard and she was immediately successful at having t...he case thrown out as there was absolutely no basis for it. My child was in a dangerous situation and Ms. Barnard helped me develop my case, prepare for trial, and win this year. I can rest easy now knowing my child is safe. Ms. Barnard is all the things one would expect from a good lawyer. She is knowledgeable, honest, she will not give you false hope, she is tenacious, and most importantly she has integrity. I kept Ms. Barnard as my lawyer through the years to navigate these issues because she will always fight for her clients and insist on a fair resolution. I am thankful and grateful for her representation.

UNPREPARED 100% of the time. Kristi is a terrible attorney, who gives up, is messy, does things last minute, and is very timid in court. She is extremely rude when overwhelmed or challenged, and this causes issues during court hearings. Instead of using the evidence in court, she even points the judg...e to a client she is representing, on a subject that she has been clearly informed on. She is unresponsive and ignorant of important details and information, and is very hypocritical. She does not follow up, is TERRIBLE at fact-checking, and leaves a lot of room for error in court documents that she submits, and will charge you more and more hours for HER poor work. I believe she knowingly makes these mistakes so that you have to ask her to correct them before submitting the forms, charging you more money in the end. Instead of discussing things, she will try to shut you down and say she is right. She is, in fact, very delusional, as she seems to believe she is good at her job. There are other reviews here, just look at her responses. Her “work” starts at the bottom, and continues to go downhill until she quits on you. I’ve never seen an attorney try to make someone pay for mistakes, until now. She is a thief, and a liar. I would never recommend someone who cannot admit that they are unprepared, unprofessional, and just not fit for the job. She is a person of rare intelligence (it’s rare that she shows any). 0/10 - I do not recommend.

Prior to Kristi Barnard taking our case, we had three different consultations with attorneys in San Joaquin County. The three attorneys advised my husband that his case was going to difficult since we had relocated out of state and he wouldn’t be able to obtain visitation for his two minor children. ...Since the first time we spoke to Kristi, she provided us reassurance for our case. She didn’t make us any promises on the outcome of the case but she sure did promise to fight and get us the best she could. Kristi got us more than what we were expecting in the first two months of taking our case. She went above and beyond during hearing trials and we are extremely happy with the results. Her office has been extremely helpful to this day and kept us up to date on any matters or issues. Kristi will fight for you in court to get you what you deserve! She is passionate about her clients; she is very confident in the court room and stays up to date on your case. One of my favorite qualities is that she is very easy to communicate with.
