I was a client of Jennifer's for about 6 months back in 2010, and had hired her to try and secure money owed to me by my ex-husband. I had clearly stated to her on our first visit that the initial check I gave her for $3000 was ALL i could afford, and if that was used up I had no more to give her. ...She agreed to this and said she would let me know so that I could continue pursuing the case on my own if need be. So, not only was she unsuccessful in this, but then proceeded to send me another bill for $2000. Included in this bill were itemized charges for texts and phone calls exchanged between us for $35 each! I was shocked, as she never even gave me a fee sheet to begin with. If I had known about these charges ahead of time I never would have called or sent her texts unless they were absolutely necessary for my case. Not having much experience with the legal system, I feel she took advantage of me. Not only that, but she was very slow in responding to messages, and was condescending to me on several occasions. I was satisfied with her work initially, for about the first month or so, during which time a good friend was looking for an attorney for her impending divorce. Much to my regret I referred her to Jennifer. She ended up having to fire her as well, for several of the same reasons.
