Moira Ann Hogan

I just had a real estate deal fall through and the seller wouldn't give me back my deposit. Moira Hogan was great! Perhaps the deal falling through was my fault, like the seller said, but I didn't think it was fair for them to keep my entire deposit. Moira beat them by sending a couple of demand lett...ers with law authorities that certainly scared them. I got all my money back, over $50,000! It only cost me a few thousnd for her fees. I strongly recommend this lawfirm and Moira Hogan in particular. She is great!! She has the experience and power to solve any problem.

Doesn't regularly respond to emails. Mainly in communication with her assistants and never Moira. Bills you largely for making copies and parking seems questionable. I asked multiple times to have a phone appointment with her and I was never responded to. I felt client negligence with her and am trau...matized with my experience and felt taken advantage of, emotionally and financially given I felt zero support.

My biggest regret is that I did not read the reviews regarding Ms. Hogan before I hired her. It would have saved me a year of stress and tens of thousands of dollars. I trusted Moira Hogan with my case she failed me miserably, and now I no other option but to file a complaint to the Bar Association.... In the beginning, she seemed to be on top of the details and was available to meet in person and on the phone to review the details of my case. However, once we got to court, she was very unprepared and basically the Judge had to coach her on what to do! I paid her for an entire day in court, yet got nothing out of it. The judge stated that she failed to come prepared with some of the most critical information in the case. After the court date, the judge required follow-up from Ms. Hogan. She prepared the documents, but never reviewed them with me to check for accuracy before she filed them with the court. She also never sent me copies of this paperwork, even after I requested it multiple times. Her office staff told me that they mailed it 4 times...and they charged me 4 times. In addition, once I started to question her billing, Ms. Hogan started to refuse to return my phone calls. Her work ethics went by the way side and she started to treat me like I was an enemy. Her billing is always sent 2 months behind schedule, and then she was charging me late fees! I asked multiple times for an explanation of the bills and how much was being applied towards the retainer. The only response I received was that the bill included money to keep the account green. Again, I asked, "how much?" and still never received an answer. After multiple phone calls, and letters to Ms. Hogan - I still NEVER received a return response from her. Instead, her receptionist started to just hang up on my phone calls. During the year that Ms. Hogan handled my case, she had a revolving door of administrative staff. On average she had one new person each month. They basically just took messages and relayed information back to me. Again, after I started to question Ms. Hogan's bill, she refused to ever call me, so I was forced to speak with her admin and be charged for this! Ms. Hogan and this law firm does everything via fax and letters. No email (what century are we in?). I believe this is a strategy to back-date letters to cover tracks for her incompetence when she forgets details of dates, etc. Please stay away from this lawyer. She is unethical and will bleed you dry.

I hired Moira for my divorce case. She never returned my calls and after 2 months waiting for her to contact me or give me information, I fired her. In retaliation she came up with charges for reviewing my file (she sure reviewed my file a lot for some one who didn't do anything and didn't return cal...ls). She charged me 4700.00 dollars. Do not hire her. I read the similar review (after I hired her) and didn't believe it until I experienced it my self. Don't put yourself through the anguish she put me through and save your money.
