Having practiced in California since 1992, I have helped Northern California clients in divorce and child custody and support matters, as well as family law problems faced by parents in domestic partnerships or less formal arrangements. I also represent people facing or seeking domestic violence restraining orders.
I have practiced since 1992, am a grandmother and have been through the divorce and child custody litigation personally. I will not make promises to clients that cannot be kept. I will always tell a client the truth no matter how harsh it may be. I will never paint blue sky for a client or give them false hope.

Terrible lawyer and beyond unprofessional. She played a Star Trek game on her phone the entire time we spoke while ranting about “leftist libtards” while talking about her new puppies and complaining about her failing gun shop. She also bragged about manipulating people by lying about a terminal kidn...

Merissa spent a morning "enjoying my morning coffee while trolling democrats for entertainment" (her words) on Facebook. If she disagrees with your politics, she isn't going to be the lawyer for you.

Read their stance on a few topics on Facebook I don’t know if they could be trusted. Hmmm
This individual never consulted with me. I do not know who they are and they appear to be leftist anarchists who disagree with a constitutional conservative. They have been actively attempting to disparage me on social media while hiding their identities. I believe that all individuals are equal regardless of gender, race, creed, color or national origin. I represent all individuals who need legal assistance in family law matters regardless of who they are.

Back in July, circumstances necessitated my need for a custody lawyer. Having no references, I checked Craigslist and was extremely fortunate to get in touch with Marissa. Over these past several months, she has been more than helpful to me. I have complete confidence, not only in her ability, but i...

I have known Merrisa as a family attorney for years. I have witnessed her skill in and out of the courtroom. Not only a fearless defender of her clients rights, but someone who makes the client part of her team. When I received a subpoena to appear at a deposition, my first call was to Merrisa. ...

“This was the result of a domestic dispute between my former fiance and myself when I was the victim. I called the cops, he got to them first and lied to them about who did what. The police ordered me out of my car and I told them no. The state bar suspended me for failure to follow lawful orders of a police officer, later re-instating me. None of this was the result of the practice of law and no clients were ever harmed.”
