Douglas Scott Maynard

This firm was referred to us during a business acquisition breeach of contract case. We felt confident at first since we only wanted to settle in an amicable manner. However, after two years of littigation & $110K later, this firm dropped our case over a $2K retainer fee. (This occurred the day befor...e we were to appear before a judge) We were left without representation & no information from our file. I sat in their office for three days to obtain copies of "our" file. (They were too busy to copy in a timely manner, even though I offered to copy myself.) Once copies were obtained, we discovered demands by us to opposing council that were completely untrue & false. ie: pain & suffering, mental anguish & other actions that were not requested by us. It is our opinion that Mr. Maynard & Mrs. Hogan were not working towards a quick settlement of our case as we requested, thus requiring additional time & fees. Once our case was brought to mediation with our new attorney, this case was settled within 2 months & minimal dollars spent. (Not counting what was paid to Mr. Maynard) Once this case settled, we continued to try retrieve our Corporate Stock Binder from Mr. Maynard & Mrs. Hogan for over 1.5 years. Three years later, we are still receiving a bill from this firm for services never rendered......
