Steven Clark

Steven Clark started out with a kind, willing, and empathetic nature. He helped to reduce the charges I received for a DUI to a Wet and Reckless. He willingly worked with me to divide his fees so that they were more manageable. I checked in with Steven before each and every court date, ready and will...ing to appear. He always assured me that it wasn't necessary for me to go, that he would appear on my behalf. I am an educator and he knew how important it was that I maintain consistency for my students. I always expressed my gratitude and appreciation for his efforts. However, in the end, I am left with an ill feeling and complete distrust in this paid liar. I readily followed the consequences for my conviction and made payments on time, participated in a 3 month course, and enrolled in a weekend work program. After injuring my hip on the third day of my weekend work program, I was seen by my physician and the hours were converted to the alternative work program for community service hours. Given my career, it was difficult to complete community service in a timely fashion. They were only open for two hours after my normal work day. With 128 hours to complete and a severe injury a couple weeks into my assignment, I was having a hard time completing the hours. Steven was aware of ALL of this as I maintained frequent communication. I would still appear in court to report my hours to the judge. After ONE mishap in scheduling, I missed court. Instead of having my back and keeping me out of jail (the whole reason you hire an attorney, right?!) this phony attorney asked the judge to be removed from my case and LIED to the judge saying that he made "several special appearances" on my behalf. Not true. Not true even one time. After a bench warrant was issued, I immediately called and rescheduled my court date and showed up to court with my progress only to find out what he had done and was remanded and put in custody for 2 days longer than I should of been, 7 days total. It was an extremely triggering and traumatic experience and I blame this man entirely. I didn't even get an apology let alone any accountability! I own my mistake, wholeheartedly. I learned from it and wouldn't dare even think of drinking let alone driving afterward. I wish this man could have the same decency to own his part. Instead, he will just collect your money, spend it on a beach somewhere, and hope to be the next 'face' on the news talking some nonsense about DUIs in SCC. Save your money - you'd be better off representing yourself, I promise!
