Moksha Smith

Moksha Smith is a strong advocate and litigator for her clients in the courtroom and behind the scenes. With over five years of experience as a prosecutor, over twenty five jury trials, hundreds of preliminary hearings and motions, Ms. Smith knows the ins and outs of the courtroom. As a criminal defense and family law attorney, Ms. Smith has an in-depth understanding of the family courts, criminal justice system, and fights for her clients. She has handled complex sexual assault cases, domestic violence cases, divorce and custody cases, among many others. Ms. Smith has extensive experience with sexual assault, domestic violence, restraining order, and substance abuse-related cases.

Ms. Smith was awarded her Juris Doctor Degree from Santa Clara School of Law. During law school, Ms. Smith competed on Trial Team and interned at multiple District Attorney’s Offices.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in India, Switzerland, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Ms. Smith values diversity and cultural sensitivity. She completed her undergraduate studies at U.C. San Diego and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cognitive Neuroscience with Minors in Psychology and Biology. During college, Ms. Smith volunteered for two summers in New Orleans through Americorps working with children and serving underprivileged communities. She also assisted family law litigants with their divorce and custody matters through the California Superior Court County of San Diego Family Law Facilitator’s Office by volunteering with Americorps.
