EMPLOYMENT & CIVIL RIGHTS ATTORNEY HELPING PEOPLE PROTECT THEIR RIGHTS FROM THE BAY TO CENTRAL COAST

Having almost 30 years of employment & civil rights law experience, Lisa is recognized as a tenacious advocate for employee rights. She has been voted a Super Lawyer by her peers every year since 2007, first in the Intermountain States and now in Northern California. In 2011, the Utah State Bar recognized her as Utah’s Labor & Employment Lawyer of the Year. In 2018, Lisa was selected by the National Law Journal as one of only two finalists for its award, Elite Trial Lawyer of 2018, in the category of gender discrimination.

Lisa earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. While there, she won the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law, and was honored as a William H. Leary Scholar for placing in the top 20% of her class. Lisa was Articles Editor for The Journal of Contemporary Law, and a Teacher’s Assistant in Legal Writing. She earned a BA in English at Amherst College, where she was Captain of the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team. Post-grad, Lisa continued to play Club Lacrosse in Utah and then California, and she spent several years coaching: first for Park City (Utah) High School’s varsity girls’ lacrosse team, and more recently for the University of California at Santa Cruz women’s lacrosse team – helping to bring both teams to podium finishes in their league championships.

A former sponsored professional mountain bike racer and competitive skier, Lisa heads out to mountain trails with the office law-dogs, Fischer and Sophie, whenever possible. Her favorite color is winner’s circle blue. Meet Lisa at

Employment Law
I retained Elizabeth (Lisa) Peck in early 2007. Shortly after my employer advised that I (a disabled veteran) would be displaced (out of state) by a returning USERRA veteran. The issue Lisa worked for the past 7+ years, was somewhat of a stand alone case, USERRA Law and ADA Law. Lisa was very knowledgable and quickly got up to speed with my case. When issues arose, she contacted me via phone or email and always kept me up to speed. Lisa was very trustworthy, always asked for the go ahead when work was about to be completed and i felt as thought everything was presented to me up front. She understood my situation and we made decisions together with my best interests in mind. Lisa is truly a diligent, honest and knowledgable attorney. Highly recommended!!

Winning!
Peck Peterson is well deserving of its high rank as a top employment law legal firm. Throughout the matter, Lisa Peck was persistent and helped keep me on point to focus on only the most important details to not get sidetracked. When it came time for depositions and negotiations with the opposing party, Lisa was very professional, yet a fierce negotiator and knew exactly the right questions to ask. Although we ended up settling out of court two years later, I was very pleased with the results and highly recommend the firm.

The absolute best, unmatched in integrity and ability in my opinion.
Lisa Peck is more than an attorney, she became a fierce ally in my wrongful termination case that lasted 4+ years before ending in a 14 day trial that a jury found in my favor and awarded a substantial monetary award. She and my other attorney worked tirelessly to present my complex case to the court and were actually complimented numerous times from the judge on how professionally and clearly the facts were presented, again in a very complex case. She was on point with everything trail/related and all aspects of this case. She very clearly is extremely expirienced in trials as well as the prep for them. On top of that she was able to sincerely address my sometimes extreme emotions that this case pulled out of me and soothed me with repeated aknowledgment of the injustice I had suffered, bringing me back to a focused determined point. In other words when she said she understood and told me we would get the TRUTH out, I believed her. In summation there are no other attorneys I would reccomend for civil rights and or employment law besides Lisa and my other great attorney Mr. Devin. They are sincere and will make your fight their fight. sincerely J.Mathews
