Jimmy Nguyen

Jimmy Nguyen is a California real estate attorney who represents home buyers in seller non-disclosure, agent misconduct, and earnest money disputes.

Attorney and broker in one. Few attorneys see a real estate dispute from as many angles as Jimmy does. He is a California licensed attorney (State Bar #282045), a licensed real estate broker in both California (DRE 01496817) and Nevada (B.1003193LLC), and a mediator on the California Association of Realtors statewide mediation panel. When a seller hides a defect or an agent gives bad advice, Jimmy understands both the law being broken and the industry practices behind it, because he has worked inside that industry for over 20 years. Jimmy is licensed to practice law only in California; his Nevada credential is a real estate broker license, not a law license.

Why Jimmy does this work. Jimmy grew up in San Jose's Evergreen neighborhood, where he watched his own family and family friends get taken advantage of by dishonest or incompetent real estate agents. He could not help them then, but that experience is what drove him to become a real estate attorney. A home is the biggest purchase most people will ever make, and Jimmy believes it is wrong for a seller or agent to think they can take advantage of a hard-working buyer and get away with it.

Practice. Jimmy's mission is simple: protect home buyers in San Jose and throughout Santa Clara County from dishonest sellers and agents, and recover the money his clients were cheated out of. He also serves clients in San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Alameda, San Francisco, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties. Beyond litigation, Jimmy has helped first-time home buyers close on their first house and helped business owners purchase their first commercial property and negotiate lease terms. As a mediator he serves as a neutral and does not represent either side; most mediations are conducted over Zoom.
