Chantene Koplow specializes in labor and employment law. Chantene has a breadth of experience in many practice areas, but has brought her passion for employment law to the forefront at The Law Offices of Chantene Koplow.

Chantene brings her extensive experience as a former federal agency attorney with expertise in employment defense and significant private practice experience as a plaintiff’s employment attorney to bear for her client.

Chantene graduated summa cum laude from The George Washington University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Asian Studies. Chantene then graduated from New York University Law School before returning to her native Los Angeles, California. Chantene began her law career in private practice at employment law-focused firms, representing employee plaintiffs who experienced discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, and hostile work environments. Chantene challenged large Fortune 500 companies in class action lawsuits, helping to secure individual employees thousands of dollars in settlements and jury awards. Chantene appeared on behalf of her clients in state court, and successfully petitioned the California Supreme Court for cert.

After private practice, Chantene joined the federal government as federal agency counsel in Long Beach, California. Chantene represented the agency in administrative actions, including the Merit Systems Protection Board, the Federal Labor Relations Authority, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Chantene successfully defended the agency in dozens of employment-based actions including those brought by individual employees and labor unions, and negotiated settlements on behalf of the agency securing millions of dollars in outstanding payment owed to the federal government. Chantene is an expert when it comes to defending federal agencies and, therefore, carries the tactical and strategic know-how to help a public employee win their case against the government. Chantene has faced big law firms and knows how to negotiate with and counter opposing counsel, even when that counsel has large pockets and seemingly unending legal resources.

Chantene left federal practice after over five years of successful agency representation, deciding to open her own law firm to maximize her expertise at its fullest potential. In Silicon Valley, Chantene has assisted start-up firms, small businesses and corporations throughout California, and public employees nationwide to obtain the results they want, need, and deserve.
