I have had the good fortune to have worked with Alex Naegele in three different areas of law. The first, and perhaps the most important, is an ongoing audit by the IRS and FTB. The problem was caused by the poor advice of an earlier attorney and a CPA. Against the odds, Alex was able to cause an Audit Reconsideration and achieve the auditor’s acceptance of a different, and correct, tax treatment. The second issue he worked on required filing a law suit in Federal Court over real estate and tax issues. I told him I was non-litigious, and he assured me that if both attorneys were doing their job, it would be settled out of court. He did his job, and I was very happy with our out of court settlement. The third issue involved estate planning and attempting to take advantage of expiring tax laws. Unfortunately, the laws were inconsistent with my needs and following his input I did not pursue it. The above are three areas where Alex has helped me, but I also rely on his advice for my varied business interests. It is my pleasure to recommend his services.
