Normally, I don't write reviews (as a busy working mom of a toddler..time is precious). However, my recent experience with attorney Andrew Shaffer was exceptional - above and beyond what I could have expected from an initial consultation. I recently had an initial consultation with Attorney Shaffe...r (following social distancing & mask of course) on behalf of my father. I was left thoroughly impressed and grateful for the following reasons: 1) Not once did he try to "market" or "sell" his service...which sometimes I get the sense when you contact some attorneys. 2 ) He was very patient - really took the time to review the facts related to my father's case and explained them to me in a way that I can understand. 3) At several points - he even frankly let me know that "given how close to the end the case is..it's not worth it for my father to pay him the fee. Instead, he simply offered me advice on how I can proceed with the case." 4) I can tell he knows his facts and is experienced with the complexity of the Worker's Compensation laws as well as which doctors would be most favorable in case of QME, etc. Overall, unlike some other consultations I had with other attorneys (which typically took maybe ~15-20 min tops), Andrew spent almost an hour simply just providing me advice on how I can best proceed with the case on my own, if I so choose. I'm a firm believer that actions speaks louder than words. Many individuals, attorneys included, can promise you a lot of things. However, at the end of the day, I think it's what they actually do, especially when they're not obligated to, that really says a lot about them. After a serious injury on the job I had many questions about what my future held.
