Theodore Dennis Stalcup

My son is incarcerated on serious charges. I sought help from Stalcup, who was going to charge me a huge amount of money to do some complicated process which he claimed would be my son's best chance of success. We got Stalcup's name from another inmate in prison, who at first told us he was a reall...y good lawyer. I've been trying to put the money together, and then I heard back from the guy who referred us in the first place. He told me Stalcup had "dropped the ball" on his case, and was refusing to return his phone calls or those from his family. Because of this, I contacted another attorney to get a second opinion. That attorney told me that there is no way that Stalcup's methods could succeed, and that the chances of success in this case are virtually nil. I have since verified this with two other attorneys. I almost spent every cent I had for something that could never have worked.

Hired this attorney to handle some very sensitive work for me, including sex charges, which he claims to be an expert at. I have never gone through anything more humiliating in my life. He blamed me for the false allegations made against me, after bleeding my mother dry to get paid. I won't say ho...w much we paid him but it was a huge sum. It was disgusting to be treated like scum and have to pay so much money for that lucky experience. I could not think less of another person than I do of Ted Stalcup and do not recommend him.

I hired this guy to handle a family law matter, after having been really treated poorly by my previous attorney. He was referred to me and I placed all my trust in him. I think he does not like women very much, and seems to have a general lack of respect for almost everyone. He was rude, arrogant,... and all the things you hear about attorneys that are bad. The judge really did not like him and made it clear by the way he treated him in court. He is also very strange in his mannerisms and appearance, which doesn't really work very well for someone who has to be in court. I fired him because I felt he could care less about what I wanted or needed in my case.
