I sought help from Stalcup, who was going to charge me a huge amount of money to do some complicated process which he claimed would be my son's best chance of success. We got Stalcup's name from another inmate in prison, who at first told us he was a reall...y good lawyer. I've been trying to put the money together, and then I heard back from the guy who referred us in the first place. He told me Stalcup had "dropped the ball" on his case, and was refusing to return his phone calls or those from his family. Because of this, I contacted another attorney to get a second opinion. That attorney told me that there is no way that Stalcup's methods could succeed, and that the chances of success in this case are virtually nil. I have since verified this with two other attorneys.
