Charlotte Hideko Huggins

Charlotte has been my divorce attorney for over 7 years. I had been in California for only 8 months when I realized I needed to not only get divorced, but find a way to legally move back to my home state of Massachusetts with my two young children. My ex-husband hired and fired a slew of attorneys an...d "parenting experts" in his case to get me to stay. We ended up settling our case within months of my filing for divorce (and one day before we were scheduled to go to trial), and he agreed to allow me to return home. However, he has continued to file motion after motion against me, fueled with his unrelenting anger. He has continued to hire a different lawyer for every motion and for a few years even represented himself (a challenge and potential nightmare for any opposing counsel!). Jurisdiction is currently split between CA and MA, depending on the issues at hand. Through it all, Charlotte has remained my legal counsel, my support and advocate, and is now my friend. I am a strong, well-educated person, but there have been many times when I can barely cope and make sense of the insanity that I am faced with.
