Emily June Schultz

I am an experienced employment litigation attorney with law firm, in-house and trial experience and I am admitted to practice law in California and Washington.  On behalf of large retail and other corporate clients, my employment law practice involves defending against individual plaintiff and class action employment cases, counseling and advice regarding wage and hour issues and non/exemption classification, interviewing witnesses, and preparing responses to administrative agency claims.  While serving as in-house counsel at a large utility, I advised the client on complex employment law matters, managed a high volume of complicated and diverse matters, evaluated and directly litigated disputes, negotiated and settled matters directly and/or through ADR, established and managed outside counsel legal budgets and costs, set reserves, and monitored litigation by outside counsel.  In addition, because I also have general liability and insurance experience, including defending premises liability and personal injury litigation, I am capable of understanding all aspects of a company’s exposure to risk and can better work to minimize its liability.
