The divorce was the toughest thing I've ever been through and I can honestly say that Jonathan, Chelsea, and Lisa kept me sane through it all and helped me get my life back on track. I got a hard working team, honest answers, and quick conclusion at an affordable cost. I've talked to other people about their lawyers and I've heard more horror stories than positives. With JL, you get blunt, honest information without smoke and mirrors and you get a team that's more interested in getting your case done correctly than dragging it out to make money off of you. JL is a no frill, no bs lawyer! I appreciate his straight forward manner and would take it over fluff and pretense any day! I hired this attorney to handle my divorce, expecting some solid legal support—maybe even a reassuring “we’ve got this.” Instead, I got what felt like the world’s shortest meet-and-greet: one 27-minute meeting over three months… for the low, low price of $1,675. At that rate, I’m pretty sure I could’...ve bought a luxury spa day and at least left feeling relaxed. Eventually, I decided to part ways because paying that much for so little felt less like legal representation and more like an expensive cameo appearance. When I asked for my security deposit back (minus the original $1,675), I was treated to a surprise plot twist: a brand-new bill for $4,287. Apparently, the original invoice got a glow-up, complete with bonus charges I never saw coming. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend hiring him. Communication was scarce, frustration was plentiful, and the whole experience felt like a masterclass in “what just happened?” If you’re considering working with him, do yourself a favor—read the reviews carefully and ask lots of questions.
