I joined this firm in 1989 and focus my practice exclusively on workers' compensation cases. I actively fight for the rights of California and Bay Area working men and women; I am a Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law, and have lectured widely on the subject.
I pride myself for being an active member of the California Applicant Attorneys' Association (CAAA), a statewide association of attorneys representing injured workers. I have served as the past president of CAAA and am a current member of the Board of Governors, the current Chair of the Policy Steering Committee, and the founder of the San Francisco chapter. Our work at CAAA has gone miles in making the lives of workers who suffer work-related injuries and illnesses much better. In July 2016 I was presented with the Eugene Marias Lifetime Achievement Award from CAAA for excellence and dedication in my career representing injured workers.
I am also very proud of receiving an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the national directory of lawyers. This is the highest possible rating an attorney can receive, indicating that my peers rank me at the highest levels of professionalism and ethical standards.

Trust your case to Susan Borg
I had an unresponsive worker's comp attorney, and it was a nightmare. I switched to Susan Borg's office mid-case, and she was fabulous. I have used her twice now, for 2 very serious injuries. Susan and her staff have been responsive to my needs in a timely manner. When difficult, stressful ...

The Go-To Worker's Comp Attorney
I placed my trust in Ms. Borg after being injured for the third time in the same workplace and I was provided with a fair and very decent settlement thanks to her handling of my case. Ms. Borg has valuable experience I believe, due to her dedication to Workers Comp law which is always subject to cha...

I would recommend against using Ms Borg, strongly.
I feel that having Ms Borg represent me was the biggest mistake I have made in my life. My case was with the City of Palo Alto where I was a Firefighter and a Paramedic of 20 years. In my effort to fight for my benefits after 20 years of service to the CPA Ms Borg was worse than useless. I c...
"Susan is a consummate professional and genuinely cares about her clients. She is well-respected among her colleagues (on both sides) and judges alike. I recommend her without reservation."
"I endorse this lawyer. Sue and I started in this business at the same firm over 20 years ago. Whenever I need a second opinion or just some sound advice I call Sue. She really cares about her clients and works works harder than anyone I know."
"I endorse this lawyer's work. I have known Ms. Borg for over 15 years. She is one of the brightest and most hard working attorneys in the field of w.c. She is well recognized by her colleagues as a great advocate for injured workers."
