Joyce Chang

Joyce Chang is an associate attorney at Hanson Crawford Crum Family Law Group in San Mateo, California, where she handles family law matters involving high-asset divorce and property division, as well as domestic violence. She serves clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ms. Chang is an experienced litigator, negotiator and mediator. Over the course of her time in practice, she has handled cases at the state and federal level courts, helping numerous clients through the complex process of marital dissolution. She understands the significant financial and mental strain of a marital dissolution and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve a fair and reasonable settlement, and to avoid litigation whenever possible.

Ms. Chang also works with both victims of domestic violence and those accused of domestic violence. She treats her victim clients with compassion and respect, helping them through each step of the process, and strongly advocates for those wrongfully accused of domestic violence to ensure their rights are protected.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Ms. Chang graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law. While pursuing her law degree, she was involved in many extracurricular activities and received many honors and awards. She served as an editor for the Santa Clara Law Review and the Santa Clara Journal of International Law and as a mentor to new law students as part of the Women and the Law Association.

In addition to these activities, Ms. Chang gained practical legal experience by interning for a judge serving on the Santa Clara County Superior Court. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese and has provided volunteer translation services for a local nonprofit organization.
