Much More Than A Lawyer

If you're looking for a strategic and thoughtful partner in advocating for your rights - not just in handling the legalese, but navigating the highs & lows of the litigation process itself - look no further than Sarah Nichols. Sarah brings unparalleled, sharp legal expertise to the table with a c...reative and collaborative mindset that unlocks friction throughout what can be a lengthy and arduous legal process. Sarah's ability to keep the big picture in mind allowed our team to focus on priorities and necessary legal milestones despite the myriad of disruptions from opposing counsel over the course of 2 years. Sarah also navigated new COVID regs & ever-changing policies with ease; her being digitally savvy was a leg up in our process. As a fellow mother, Sarah also knew when to simply support me as a person having just experienced workplace discrimination and retaliation. I always felt heard, empowered and included as part of the process; never talked down to. She was a true partner and confidant, forever influencing (for the better) my personal path ahead. The words 'thank you' simply do not capture the amount of gratitude I have for Sarah and her team. They will be forever written in my story of life as critical influencers for the good ahead.

Outstanding advocate that gets results

I worked for one of the largest tech firms in Silicon Valley and was subjected to discrimination. Luckily I knew Sarah from my network, and she advocated for me through a 6 month process that ended with a favorable settlement for myself. Although I have no direct comparison, it is difficult to imag...ine a better lawyer to have on your side. Most importantly, at every step and decision, Sarah was clearly advocating and recommending the best outcome for myself, not trying to maximize or speed her gain. This included her supporting me “walking away” from a significant offer, despite months of work from herself. Unfortunately, the discrimination continued, but fortunately I had Sarah as a continued advocate. She provided immediate guidance, responded within minutes to incidents, and ultimately secured a substantial offer with every detail negotiated for my benefit. Apparently Sarah took vacation during my discrimination ordeal, but I would never have know given her responsiveness. Sarah is not only extremely competent and hard working; she is selfless and displays tremendous empathy. I can not imagine a better legal experience during employment torment.

Amazing advocate and negotiation strategy

I can’t thank Sarah enough for the outcome she negotiated for me against my former employer, a very large Silicon Valley tech firm, for pregnancy discrimination and retaliation. Her knowledge of the way that big tech firms (and their law firms) work put us in an incredibly strong position for negotia...tion. I’d recommend her to anyone in need of an advocate in this area.

Persistent, expert and empathetic

After a 20+ year, highly successful relationship with my employer, I went through a series of health based crises - of my own and within my family - during which I was summarily fired in 2019. Sarah and the team steadily, expertly and intelligently outflanked my former employers' maneuvers and won ou...t a fair settlement. But also, Sarah's empathetic disposition helped keep me on an even mental keel while I was tasked with simultaneously trying to heal myself, my family members, fight out battles with medical insurers and providers and flat out stabilize my life in an age and disability-hostile work world. My highest praise goes to the whole of the Nichols Law firm, they are an amazing team whose values and behaviors mesh seamlesslessly to instill confidence and calm; while delivering success.
