Best Best Best
Rosy is the best lawyer you can get in the Bay Area. She handled my family immigration case so professionally. She is one of the few lawyers who genuinely care for you and hope for your best future. Once she takes your case, she looks after your case as if it's her own on both personal and professional grounds. My family absolutely loved her for her hard work and dedication. During sessions, she really takes out all her time, sits with you, listens to you and helps you see a bigger picture. When we won our case, she was more happy than us like you could literally see it in her eyes. With her, we felt welcomed and heard. I definitely recommend her to everyone looking for professionalism and seriousness. With her, every time and money is worth it. I just wish I could give her more than five stars for everything she's done for me and my family.

Best immigration lawyer expertise in deportation and all the immigration matters
If you are looking for a deportation defense attorney, PAY ATTENTION HERE!!!!!!! Most of immigration attorneys are not very expertise in deportation defense because they mostly only do visas and etc. Rosy is different, not only she is very knowledge in immigration visas but she is also very expertise in deportation defense. This is my first review on AVVO and the reason I am doing this is because Rosy is really great and amazing and she saved my life. I hope my post would help people who are seeking the same need. Basically, I received a deportation notice after I passed my in-person citizenship interview. It was a disaster for me, I was very surprised that I was getting deported as a green card holder for something was expunged and misdemeanor (I did not spend a day in jail or prison), and my attorney told me that I could apply for citizenship 5 years later after the plea (Apparently my criminal attorney didn't know anything). I became very picky at choosing attorney after I learned it in a hard way that hiring an attorney to fight for your case is VERY IMPORTANT!! I spent the money to consult with many good deportation defense attorney for their advices but none of them could come up with better advice than Rosy suggested. I also asked them if they know Rosy Cho and they all had a lot of respect for Rosy and told me that if Rosy took my case then it will be well handled. Rosy is very detailed person and she took my case very seriously and spent a lot of efforts to go over all the evidences to prove my innocence. She reads every single line of the report carefully and asks right question, not just scan it through. Her deep analysis and understanding on the case really made my case very strong. I wish I had hired Rosy back then. I still remember Rosy did an excellent job in our first hearing. She was firm and knew what she was doing strategically. When we left the court room someone actually came up to Rosy and asked Rosy for help, that's how impressive Rosy was in the court room!! My deportation was terminated shortly and Rosy also helped me to get my conviction vacated. Rosy not only helped me to get my convict vacated and deportation terminated but also helped to obtain US citizenship just within few months. Now I have received US citizenship certification and US passport. Thanks to Rosy now I don't need to worry about getting deported!!!!! Highly recommend those who are having legal concerns to have a consultation with Rosy before making any decision. I wish I had met Rosy before I applied for US citizenship and didn't listen to my inexperienced lawyer. Now I am US citizen and do not need to worry about getting deported. Thanks a lot Rosy!!!!!

Best immigration lawyer
Rosy is the best immigration lawyer I ever came in contact with -- she is very knowledgeable, caring and honest. I found out about Rosy from Yelp and AVVO (better for lawyer reviews) and I met her along with my wife for a consultation where I ended up having her represent me, and I successfully obtained my green card thanks to her. The first time I met Rosy for a consultation I could tell she was very knowledgeable because she knew that there was a chance to adjust my immigration status right after listening to me and my wife very patiently, whereas other immigration lawyers had told me that “unless there was a change in immigration law” I would not be able fix my status. Rosy showed she sincerely cared about our situation with a level of sympathy I never saw in any other lawyer. She made me and my wife feel so comfortable during the consultation where we were sharing our story through tears, she gave us plenty of time to explain and express our concerns and she assured us we could really fix my situation. After telling Rosy our story it became clear to me and my wife that she was the lawyer we wanted, so we asked her to represent me. Rosy was also very honest about the duration of the process, the risks involved and the cost of her services. She explained the whole process from beginning to end from how long my case would take to the forms we would need to file and all the different documentation we would need. She told us about some of the risks I could face in my case and reassure us that there were not too many things to worry about if we decided to go forward. At the end of our consultation she was upfront about how her fees were structured and gave us a monthly payment plan. --If you need an immigration lawyer Rosy is the best out there - I consulted with many others before finding her. --A little bit about my case: I needed a 601 waiver, had citizen spouse and citizen kids, total case duration to receiving green card was a little over 2 years

Rosy is my hero
This review has been long over due. Rosy is my hero. I apoligize if my delated review might have delayed your finding Rosy. Immigration issue was like a nightmare to me. I know that feeling. I finally could really smile now after 18 years. With Rosy's help, I can finally not to be scare of separating with my children. And I am in a process getting my naturalization. Of course , I chose Rose, with my the past issue with immigration process and getting so many scam or lousy lawyers experience, I never would want to risk anything might affect my children's wellbeing. Rosy is a lawyer who has a golden heart. She cares!!! I had two rounds appeal with ninth circus already. There was a lawyer who said she will charge me a few thousands to just to look into my case. But Rosy gave me a set price after looking thorough my case, and allow me to make monthly payment. I still remember that holiday, she gave me a break, so that I can afford to buy a few nice things for the family. ( I am tearing up again). Rosy pointed out to me that my previous lawyer charged me two lawyers same whole day had a meeting on my case, which was outraged and not right. They charge me $800 for 8 hours in a single day! Instead taking me as a fool, Rosy gave me dignity. Honestly, she is the first professional, beside my children's pediatrician, that I felt like is human being and treating me like a human being. She also told me you also have the right to say no to things. Rosy, for real, you are my hero. There are two immigration lawyers who scam me big time. The first one who ironically got heart attach by all his wrong doing. He accepted like $20,000 fee and doing nothing, absolutely nothing, they always acted like, they were the god, and I only met the lawyer for no more that four occasion, he hired a associate to write for him, might be that is one of the things to pay attention, if someone who has associate to write for the main lawyer, they might either a scam or always over charge. This is just totally my experience and for reference. 17 years ago, I barely read or speak English, but I did remember that first lawyer didn't even bother to reframe words to write his brief for me. He made a copy of a book as a reference. But how could I tell bad then. And the second one basically scam me unreasonable high fee. Rosy has a heart and mostly importantly, she is very knowledge and competent with immigration law. If your case is in a dead end, you will hear a honestly answer from her like my friend, some another lawyer might tell you, "oh , you would be fine, I have these way, you r good citizen....." and they charged fees and fees. She knows the law throughly, my case was a dead case, I had big boo boo with the immigration process. I think she is the only one who could save me, and she did. Without Rosy, I can not sitting here today typing on my fancy computer (which was a second-hand Apple Mac), and hearing my children giggling in the bedroom. Rosy, I treasure every minute and everything I can have today. Thank you for making this a reality and thank you for being such a wonderful person, and you intelligent brain save my family!!!

Amazing lawyer and wonderful human being
Rosy Cho is an amazing lawyer and a wonderful human being. Rosy Cho helped me win my immigration case when my previous lawyer had given up on my case. Rosy Cho and her assistant, Rebecca, were in constant communication and were always willing to help with prompt responses regarding any questions/concerns. When it came to interviewing, Rosy Cho took the time to make sure we had all the relevant materials and she also did mock interviews with me, which I found really helpful. She won't waste your time so once she takes your case, make sure you are willing to put an effort into it. She is straight forward, knowledgeable, efficient, sympathetic, and a great lawyer.

US CITIZENSHIP
From the first meeting, Rosie was very understanding and sympathetic. She gave me the PROS and CONS for the actions we will be taking and let me know the BEST CASE and WORST CASE scenarios. At the interview, she was very helpful in keeping the immigration officer on track to the subject on hand. The ultimate result was that I was recommended for US citizenship and took my Oath in less than 30 days later. Thank you Rosie for all your help and support. You and your office are definitely highly recommended!

United at last!
Rosy is AMAZING!! Not only is she an expert in her field, but she is highly responsive over email, and is a genuinely caring and compassionate human being. She was not merely my legal consultant, but my emotional support during unexpected twists and turns in my husband's immigration application. Largely thanks to Rosy, our story had a happy ending, with my husband finally being able to join me in the US with his Greencard. She's also an unusual lawyer in not being constantly focused on the financial bottom-line. For example, when she had to work overtime on our case due to an unexpected snag, she didn't charge me her full hourly rate because she said the snag wasn't either my or my husband's fault. I'm not sure how many other lawyers would have had that much honesty, integrity, and basic human kindness! Honestly, I can't praise her enough. Trust her - she will get the job done with proficiency and compassion!

Excellent and trustworthy immigration attorney
I am so grateful that I have found Rosy to help with my immigration case. She is seriously a godsent. I have a relatively complicated case, and wanted to adjust status within the U.S based on marriage to a U.S. citizen. Other lawyers who I have consulted prior to finding Rosy either told me that it would be impossible, or that I would need to go back to my home country in order to adjust status and I could be there waiting for months while my job is on hold and at a risk that it won't get approved and I won't be able to come back into the States. I was pretty scared at the risk and dejected by a lack of a consistent response or no response from other lawyers, and then in comes Rosy. Rosy responds to her emails promptly, and she immediately put me at ease during our first consultation. She is very honest with the reality of the situation and after carefully reviewing my information, she reassures me that I can adjust status in the U.S, and many people adjust their status here without needing to go back to their home country. Her price is reasonable and there are no hidden fees later. She is very clear with explaining the process, and she is patient and continues to answer follow-up questions throughout the process. She is able to see things clearly and keep the process simple and straightforward. She provides checklists and timeline of what to do, so I just followed her checklist to gather all necessary documents. She would review all the documents in person with me and my husband before she helps me process the application. Her office keeps track and notifies me of all the USCIS notifications, so I never miss a notice. We would also meet again prior to the interview. Throughout the process, Rosy is reassuring and knowledgeable. She was right there with me for the interview and was a calming force. I was anxious and a little skeptical at how smooth the process would go, especially after all the negativity from other lawyers before. I highly recommend and trust in Rosy's guidance. I am so grateful I found her through the reviews here on Avvo, and now that my case is a success with obtaining work/travel authorization and a green card all within ~6 months, I want others to know about Rosy and how helpful she is. She is an excellent lawyer, so if in doubt, I suggest just sending her a email and inquiring about your case.

Won a tough case in 3 months
From my 1st interview to the denied letter, it took more than two years. I got stuck in my immigration process, the 1st lawyer (Jxxxx Bxxx) who is rated 10 massed up my case. I decided to look for other lawyer to help me to solve the denied letter. However, I visited 2 more top 10, they both scare me away. I came to visit Rosy. I was little bit nervous and hopeless before I meet her because she is the 4th attorney I look for help. After an hour consultation, she explained to me with confidence and took my case. She took my case as her own and help me well prepared. When she’s with me in the interview, she strongly convinces the officer. Rosy help me to get my status in only 3 months. If you need a lawyer who can really help and fight for you. I strongly recommend her to you.

THE BEST
Rosy has been such a blessing to myself and my family. We were in a desperate situation and were fortunate enough to meet Rosy, just as we were running out of time and hope. We have a unique and complicated set of immigration cases, and prior to meeting Rosy, constantly felt confused, misinformed, anxious, worried, and impatient. Rosy mitigated those feelings by addressing all of our questions and concerns honestly and promptly, helping us to feel prepared, calm, and assured. What really blew us away was her compassion, understanding and genuine concern for my family. Needless to say, we hired Rosy to be our advocate and she's worked relentlessly to help my family gain citizenship. Rosy is extremely knowledgeable and intelligent. This is reflected in her ability to think quickly off her feet and provide us with options when we felt like our backs were up against a wall. This whole process has not been easy, but Rosy has made it as seamless as possible for my family and we feel so grateful to have her by our side.

Make sure to contact Rosy Cho first and get her to review your immigration case
There are a lot of immigration lawyers out there. Some are good. Only a select few are great. Rosy is definitely one of those select few. I have been trying to get a permanent residency for my wife. It was a battle for 14 years. We went through IJ, BIA, 9th Circuit, deportation proceeding. We have consulted different attorneys and hired some to represent us. At the end we lost all of it. We got ICE agents knocking on our door on three separate occasions. No fun. Then we met Rosy. Right from the first meeting, we knew she's different. You can tell she does this out of her passion. After reviewing our case, she gave an honest opinion regarding our situation and provided some options. We were discouraged at first. However after we went home, we realized that she was giving a hard truth but truth nonetheless. She was more interested in helping us than whether or not we retain her. Finally we decided to contact her again and have her represented us. She did a excellent job in updating us every step of the way. Answered every question and updating us when new immigration policy was enacted that will benefit us. She was able to reopen our case, terminate the deportation proceeding. Two weeks ago my wife received her permanent residency. You want a lawyer who will fight tooth and nail for you. Don't contact any other lawyer before you talked to her first. Beware, she will be honest with you and might tell you things that you don't want to hear about your case. But know this, those are honest comments that came from 10+ years of experience. Wait a minute, isn't that what you hired a lawyer for? Not to get a sugarcoated comment just to get you sign a retainer.

Saved us from deportation and separation!
Rosy gave us hope when we were at the end of our rope. We'd been screwed over by another immigration lawyer, who had failed to file paperwork on time, lied to us, and generally messed things up; I was out of status and we expected to get the removal notice in the mail at any moment. After the other lawyer stopped returning our calls, we decided to find someone else. We found Rosy Cho. Her patience was boundless, her responses immediate. Six months later, it's all sorted. I got my green card earlier this week. I can't imagine we'd be in this situation now without her help.

One of the best attorneys in the country !
I highly recommend Rosy to anyone needing immigration help. She has a great experience in immigration case. I met Rosy six month ago, she is very knowledgeable and provided the best service on my immigration case. She always there when I have any question on my case. I got my permanent resident card shortly after Rosy submitted my application. It was great working with Rosy in the past few months. Her service charge is reasonable and she worth every dollar I paid for. Thank you very much Rosy, you are the best !

A Treasure in Northern California Immigration Law World. The Person You Want on Your Side.
When faced with complicated immigration issues that may or will likely take you to immigration court, we would recommend having Rosy H. Cho on YOUR side. Good immigration lawyers who can handle complicated cases are few and far between - even if you go for the most famous ones that have been quoted in national newspapers. Rosy is very low-profile in comparison to some immigration lawyers who have their own Youtube videos, multi-page websites, various mentions in newspapers. However, we believe that she is one of the best in San Francisco, and likely one of the best in Northern California. We have been extremely impressed by her extensive knowledge of immigration law and history of the law, precedents, and by the breadth of her experience in dealing with diverse immigration issues. She also knows how to collaborate effectively with other members of your legal team, i.e. she is not a siloed immigration expert like so many others in her specialty who know precious little about any other areas of the law, or their repercussions. We came across Rosy Cho's name entirely by chance, found one reference for her after countless Google searches for immigration lawyers, reading through various references in Avvo.com, and even trying to contact some of the most mentioned immigration lawyers in the newspapers. In spite of all these efforts, we could not find 'the one' who could help us through a very delicate and complicated immigration situation, nor a lawyer that we felt comfortable sharing our story with, regardless of how iron-clad attorney-client privilege supposedly is. When we finally came across her name, something clicked in our minds. Wanting to know more, we Googled her. We found very few references to her, but the references we did find were extremely compelling. Here was the lawyer who could fight for a case, and who had the legal experience and the extensive knowledge in the extremely convoluted and ever-changing landscape of immigration law. Rosy Cho is a conscientious, knowledgeable, responsive, immigration lawyer, who garners clients' trust and will fight for them. She is realistic, and she won't sugarcoat outcomes, nor over-promise as many less ethical and less knowledgeable immigration attorneys will. However, underneath it all, you get the sense that she is sympathetic, and will do everything she can to give you the legal advice and insight that you need to navigate through your complicated immigration issues. We would highly recommend Rosy Cho above many other widely-known or widely-advertised peers in San Francisco. We would also recommend going to SF area to find an immigration lawyer, and not rely on smaller-town peers. The smaller-town peers may not have the level of expertise or breadth of experience that you need to resolve your issues, though they may be more convenient for appointments. While our issues are still in process, with Rosy on our team we feel heartened about facing them.

THE BEST LAWYER IN SAN FRANCISCO
I am a 4th generation US born citizen. I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the immigration and citizenship process. Who does? Why would I? Never knew how serious, scary & complex dealing with Homeland Security could seriously be...Until a few years ago, when I married my husband who was not a US citizen. What can I say, he's an amazing man, The One, they just don't make them like him in America. I was not going to let him get away. So, I thought that was it. We marry, we'd get on with our lives, we'd be onto bigger better things, Boom he becomes a citizen, the rest would be history...easy peasy right? WRONG! So wrong. The following months and years that followed had to be The Worst & Best times of my life. I greatly looked forward to a new life with my husband, I believed in him, I knew he was going to be somebody & I wanted to be a part of something amazing with him. I PUT 100% TRUST IN HIM, MY LORD GOD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST & OF COURSE ROSY CHO. The things we endured...(not for the weak of heart)...could have broken most and many couples. We never gave up. So many sacrifices, hardships, $$$ issues-, taking whatever jobs he could get & couldn't even practice his profession because he had to wait for work authorization, working minimum wage retail when he graduated from an Ivy League, holding a BS degree and patiently waiting for the day to cone where he'd get his chance, Me having to put school aside to attend my lawyer meetings, immigration meetings, interviews and not being able to focus on my studies, having to write letters to our congresswoman, because IRS was lagging on giving us our $6,000 tax return...all these things- No one knows how we had to live, what we had to give, the uncertainty of our fate and future. All the paperwork, data, evidence, photos, proof of our living together, filling out an SB17 followed by a H175 only to have to wait for the Z72 to take effect then and only then can we fole a request & application for the XYZ4746 it's absolutely nauseating to remember those times but its over now. My husbands conditional status has been removed and he should be able to apply for citizenship soon. We are expecting a baby girl this fall and we are going to Live Happily Ever After. And we owe a lot of our thanks to God & Rosy. She's awesome, She's smart, quick, efficient and will be very straight with you. She's got a BS attitude and put my husband & I both in our places at times and when we just needed to be told it like it is. We'd joke sometimes that she would make a great marriage counselor because all this can and really did take a toll on our marriage but what didn't break us only made us stronger. I beyond highly recommend Rosy to anyone looking for THE BEST I DONT CARE WHAT IT COSTS ME I NEED RESULTS LAWYER! She will blow your mind. This woman is a Gem in SF and we are do fortunate to have crossed paths with such an amazing & professional woman. Thank you Rosy for all that you've done for us, for our family and we look forward to a bright future, thanks for seeing us through. You are a Godsend and we appreciate all you have done over the years to help us. Wish you all the best!!!!

The Best of the Best!
The best immigration attorney out there! As many of you are having immigration issues, I went through many problems for over three years and the entire time, Rosy was there for me when I had questions or concerns. She truly listens to you and she understands your concerns, your fears and your family situation. She always told me the truth about my situation and the possible outcomes, but she was always positive and had many options in case things didn't work out. Rosy is a well known professional, when I walked alongside her into the courtroom everyone treated her with respect. She has a great reputation and even though she has a strong and stern personality she also has a heart of gold! Rosy is not only an attorney, but a true and honest person. She is always available as opposed to other immigration lawyers I have dealt with in the past, she will always make time for you and if she is not available, her staff is always courteous and will provide you information. Rosy won my case! She guided me and gave me the right advice; she saved my family and she gave me hope in times when I was about to give up. I strongly recommend her as an attorney and trust her with my heart, my life, and future. I am proud to be able to recommend Rosy as an immigration attorney and I can assure you that she will not let you down. She is very knowledgeable of immigration laws and is very aware of all changes and details that could affect any of her cases. Rosy is an incredible person, one of those with values and moral, a lawyer like no other... Thank you Rosy

"I met Ms. Cho through a mutual client who had hired her a few years ago. Although he was facing removal proceedings for a felony conviction, she was still able to prevent him from being deported. I now refer my clients to her who face immigration consequences due to criminal convictions. I highly endorse Ms. Cho in the field of immigration law."
