Jacek Marek Wnuk

Jacek is a partner at Polsinelli with over a decade of experience as a registered patent attorney. He has been nationally recognized for his work in intellectual property (IP) law, including through the American Bar Association’s "On the Rise" Top 40 Young Lawyers award (2024), Fellowship in the American Bar Foundation, and ongoing honors from Best Lawyers®: Ones to Watch and Super Lawyers®: Rising Stars.

Jacek serves as a strategic and technical advisor to entrepreneurs, inventors, and in-house counsel across a range of industries, specializing in helping startups grow and scale their innovation pipelines. He helps clients develop and cultivate strategic patent portfolios, navigate complex licensing and freedom-to-operate issues, manage standard essential patent (SEP) intricacies, and successfully resolve post-grant proceedings such as reexaminations and reissues.

Before entering law, Jacek trained as an engineer at UC Berkeley and gained hands-on experience developing autonomous vehicle systems through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Grand Challenge. He draws on that background to counsel clients working on technologies such as artificial intelligence, cryptography, cellular networks, robotics, optics, medical devices, and and clean energy.

He is also a regular speaker at continuing legal education (CLE) events, where he presents on emerging issues in patent law, including the evolving role of AI in innovation and IP protection.
