I had such a wonderful experience of having the Schoenberg Family Law Group represent me on my divorce I decided to write this review. Except for 3 years, I have been self-employed during my working career wherein I participated in several different fields of business. Because of this, I have d...ealt with numerous attorneys who specialized in the fields of; copyright infringement, internet law, PAGA law, estate planning, employment law, tax law, trademark registration, and real estate law. All these attorneys were top-notch but when my wife and I decided to divorce and I had to employ a family law attorney I made a horrible mistake. I did basic research and found what I believed to be a good divorce attorney. After 24 months of my case making little progress, I felt like a paper cup bobbing up and down in the ocean going nowhere. And after having spent a lot of money during those 24 months with nothing to show for it, having great difficulty in being able to connect and speak with my attorney, and always having to leave a message at the law firm's answering service because no human would ever answer the telephone, I decided to terminate my relationship with them. After reviewing several family law practices, I decided to employ Debra Schoenberg who operates the Schoenberg Family Law Group. I immediately saw a dramatic difference. Debra asked me why my case was in public court instead of having a private superior court judge overseeing the case that would be dealt with in a private setting. I told her that I did not know there was such an option. Debra said that a public court judge would never have the time to learn and understand the legal complexities of my unique case nor the time to devote to it because of the large volume of cases they are assigned. And my case should be removed from the public court system and a well-respected private judge should be selected that was an expert in the legal aspects of my complicated case. Debra had just such a judge in mind, and he was willing to accept my case, and Debra got my wife's attorney to agree. This judge was incredible, and I could tell my case was finally going to grab traction. Debra had my case completed in 18 months, and it would have been completed much earlier if the opposing council was not a brand-new inexperienced attorney. Debra is extremely attentive. Thoughts would come to mind about a detail so I would send her an email regardless of the time of day so I would not forget. I did not expect a reply until the next business day or two. The first time I did this was on a Sunday night and Debra replied within a few minutes. I was shocked. Debra continued to promptly reply throughout my case regardless of how late it was or if it was on a weekend and she was always directly accessible to me. Many times, when you ask an attorney a question you receive a long-detailed reply. I do not know if they do this to rack up attorney time or if they feel a need to provide you with a lot of detail. Debra is short and to the point - no long-winded responses. In the end, this saves the client a lot of money. When you phone the Schenberg Family Law Group a person always answers the phone. It is amazing that this is not standard, but this is how things are today. I highly recommend this law firm. Debra and her team are attentive, efficient, know how to navigate matters, and do not waste time. You will be happy you decided to employ them.
