Adam Wade Neufer

I was referred to this firm by someone who had been blindsided by an ex's attempt to leave the state with their son; the firm (tho a different attorney) was aggressive and successful in that case, and the move-away never happened. I needed help when my ex took me to court to make changes to our exis...ting custody agreement. Adam was knowledgeable and experienced; he had insights not only on the law and what I could reasonably expect in the case, but also on the judge and my ex's attorney. He incorporated all of these insights to help me set my expectations and choose a strategy. The process unfolded pretty much as Adam predicted, and I got an outcome that was realistic and reasonable. I relied on Adam a couple more times when the covid-19 pandemic took its toll on our custody agreement. My experience was always, no matter the context, that Adam understood my goals and priorities, gave me honest feedback about what the law and the judge were likely to grant me, and fought hard for what I wanted regardless. After years of pretty amicable stability in the custody arrangement Adam helped me put in place, I came back to him in crisis. I needed emergency intervention to keep my child safe, and Adam worked tirelessly and diligently with very short turnaround despite technically being out of the office for most of the process. As a result, I now have sole legal and physical custody, and most importantly, my child is safe and stable. Throughout the whole saga, Adam was responsive, reliable, compassionate, forthright, professional, and insightful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone facing the stress and anxiety of a custody dispute.

I retained Adam Neufer (Moradi Saslaw) to represent me in my divorce in January 2021. It took nearly 2 years to conclude my divorce, and it was not a complicated case. Adam was stressed out and distracted by personal matters, half of the law firm's partners walking out in Fall 2021, and an oversubs...cribed case load. The impact of this? He encouraged me to take a deal that would have cost me tens of thousands of dollars more than the law dictated. He made all sorts of mathematical errors in his calculations and could not explain the numbers. The counsel he provided me was terrible, and after a $45k bill, I still feel uneasy with the financial settlement he recommended. Adam's work was sloppy at best: he sent me confidential documents of another client, lacked attention to detail - i.e., sent me cut/paste draft documents with other clients' names in place of mine, forgot my spouse's name, and took weeks to respond and move things along. He made serious errors that wound up costing me money, time, and emotional distress. At the end of my case, I requested all materials (including any notes) as one is entitled to by law. A month after the case file was closed, they still have not provided any handwritten notes. I cannot encourage you enough to stay away from this law firm.

I cannot recommend Adam enough for the excellent support and service he provided me with during my divorce. His professionalism, expertise, and exceptional care have helped me navigate the complex & emotionally draining divorce process, and achieve the outcome I wanted without going to court. Adam w...as able to negotiate/work with the opposing counsel to successfully achieve the best outcome for me without having to litigate and spend a fortune in legal fees. He was always available and very prompt in responding to any and all of my questions, and provided me with the best counsel, explaining my options and listing the pros and cons for each one. I highly recommend Adam to anyone who needs sound legal advice or help with their divorce/custody issues. He is easily one of the best family lawyers in the Bay Area.
