5/27/2009: Settled a first offense DUI in Pleasanton, which is a notoriously strick branch of Alameda County, for a reduced charge of reckless driving pursuant to Vehicle Code section 23103.5, ("wet" ... reckless). Client received reduced sentence of three years of informal court probation, fine of $865 and 12 hour DUI school. Won DMV hearing on GERD defense (acid reflux). The "GERD" defense was pioneered by the work of DUI lawyer Donald Drewery whose work in the field in Alameda County is legendary.

5/25/2009: Settled a first offense .12% BAC breath test DUI case in Walnut Creek for reduction to reckless driving ("wet"). DUI charges were dismissed and client received three years of probation, on ... e day of SWAP, three month DUI school and fine of $1,778. Client suffered NO ACTUAL LICENSE SUSPENSION. License only restricted for five months.

5/14/2010: Today I settled a tough case which involved low BAC (.12% breath), but the client was presently on probation for a prior DUI which she suffered less than a year prior to this new case. ... Client received minimal punishment, three years of probation, fine of $2,256, 18 month DUI school and 10 days of SWAP. Client was required to spend four actual days in custody on the weekends. Case handled on partial pro bono basis, so fine was converted to community service. License suspended for one year and restricted for one year by DMV.
