Bogdan Alexandru Albu

I am a San Francisco Bay Area business attorney, an entrepreneur and the founder of AlbuLegal. I bring real-world business, startup and commercial real estate experience to my practice. Before entering the legal profession, I served as the business development director of a technology and marketing startup, and as a commercial real estate executive. My background includes economics, technology, and contract negotiation. This combined experience allows me to craft legal solutions that make business sense.

In addition, my international background makes me particularly attuned to foreign entrepreneurs seeking to expand or start a business in the United States. As a co-organizer of the Silicon Valley Romanian-American Business Network, I stay active in the international community of high-tech entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. In addition, having escaped Romania's communist dictatorship as a child, I find it especially rewarding to provide pro bono legal services to qualified clients who seek autonomy and financial independence through business ownership. 

Before founding AlbuLegal, I worked on both litigation and corporate business matters at a major international law firm. I earned my doctorate of law with honors from the University of Washington School of Law. During law school I also volunteered for a Federal District Court judge and the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. I earned my bachelor's degree in economics magna cum laude from Duke University, including coursework in Paris and at London School of Economics (LSE). As an undergraduate, I received a full academic scholarship to Duke, earned membership to Phi Beta Kappa, and won several writing awards.
