Sara Elizabeth Finigan

Sara Finigan has developed a successful practice helping both corporate and individual clients develop and implement strategies to navigate complex business matters. She represents businesses in financing, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and employee and executive compensation. She also counsels individuals and business entities in both public and private securities transactions.

Sara is co-chair of the Business practice group, and brings in-depth experience to clients of all sizes, from startups and emerging ventures to publicly held companies. She regularly acts as an informal outside general counsel for companies that have chosen not to appoint a general counsel, advising them on a broad spectrum of business and contract matters.

In addition to her extensive expertise in business and corporate issues, Sara advises issuers and investors on all aspects of transactions in public and private securities. She counsels her clients in all stages of U.S. and international securities transactions from pre-transaction planning through initial issue, resale, and exit strategy.

Joint venture enterprises are a significant part of Sara's practice, and she has particular expertise in advising developer clients on the negotiation and funding of joint ventures for the development of real property.
