Responsible land use is important to me, and to our future.  I am therefore an active member of Urban Land Institute, an international organization with approximately 2,000 members in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I Co-Chair the Women's Leadership Initiative Programs Committee of the ULI San Francisco District Council, and served as the Acting-Co-Chair for the Sustainability Committee in mid-2013.  I facilitate ULI’s UrbanPlan program at several East Bay High Schools, and help achieve the program’s mission of creating a “civil and sophisticated dialogue about land use at the local level.”

Continuing education allows me to build on the knowledge I have gained in my legal practice.  In the Spring of 2013, I completed Environmental Law Boot Camp, a three-day course presented by the Environmental Law Institute.  In 2014, I completed an eight-week Real Estate 101 Course offered by the California State Bar's Real Property Law section.
