Lawyers are supposed to be educated professionals so one would expect a minimum degree of decency and professionalism especially from a lawyer practicing in California. I contacted Mr Kaplunovsky in the month of Jan 2018 regarding representing me in Superior Court of Santa Clara. Initially Mr Kapl...unovsky wanted $250/- hr for representing me . However, he decided to represent me when i pointed out my poor Financial condition. Initially all seems well. However, gradually it became difficult to contact Mr Kaplunovsky both over phone and email. Moreover, nobody seemed to be ever present in his office.He did not even bother to respond to phone calls or emails.Mr Kaplunovsky failed to appear at my trial setting date and also failed to serve the notice in a proper manner to the opponent lawyer. Needless to say, he did not carry out the discovery process or the deputation of the opponent party inspite of several requests. My trial is coming on the 20th of September 2018 and i tried to contact Mr Kaplunovsky several times to get feedback about any progress he is making wrt to the discovery process and any other aspect. However, on the 22nd of August 2018, he suddenly informs me over a text message that he cannot represent me during the trial process. Even after that , i send him several emails stating that he should ask for an extension of the trial date as he is the lawyer on record and secondly he should inform me in writing that he is no longer involved in my case so that i might try to hire a different lawyer.Unfortunately, he has not bothered to respond to any of my emails. Such kind of behavior has put me under great stress. I had to be hospitalized in Antelope valley last month and currently undergoing treatment from a Cardiologist. I am going to report this kind of behavior to the state bar and also to the concerned judge. This lawyer claims that he cares about his clients and also to support them both legally and emotionally.NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. He also has several positive reviews on yelp but if you see carefully most of these reviews are from 2-3 years back. Unfortunately, almost nothing about my interaction with him has been positive.
