Amazing person and excellent lawyer...

Going through divorce is not easy for anyone especially when your ex-spouse creates so many issues unnecessarily. I was totally heartbroken and shocked at the same time to see how my ex behaved. I was served with the divorce papers and was looking for attorney to respond and boy I'm so glad that I found Michelle. I called her and discussed my case with her. She was so patient and listened to me for a while and then explained me the whole process. She then came to meet me the next day and gave me some paperwork to sign (her retention agreement) and started on the case. She prepared the required documentation in no time and sent to me on email. As I travel extensively, she co-operated with me and always was there whenever I needed her advise. She is straightforward, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. She always kept me in the loop whenever she responded to my ex's attorney and always called me / texted me with the updates. She also helped me with my 401k plus split (QDRO) even though she is not an expert on that. She was always there to help whatever it was. I'm now completely done with my case and moved on in my life and I'm fully satisfied the way Michelle handled my case. Her charges are very nominal and the best in the industry. I highly recommend her and would anytime hire her again if needed. She is person you need on your side during divorce. Regards Vaibhav

Best Family Law Attorney I've Ever Had Represent Me

Let me start off this review saying that Michelle Melen is the best Family Law/Divorce Attorney I've had represent me since my divorce in 2016; previously I went through two other divorce attorneys in four years. Recently, I was back in family court due spousal relocation from the 2020 pandemic; we were ordered to a court evaluation and through the process had a number of court hearings and countless negotiations. Through it all Michelle represented me better than any of my previous attorneys, she was professional, thorough, firm; I honestly could trust her through the entire process. In family court, things become emotional quickly and during the pandemic things can become even more emotional between parties. I'm beyond grateful to have Michelle represent me. She fought for me, while being open and honest throughout my case. I feel like she is very well respected in the court room. Michelle was always available to contact. I simply cannot say enough positive things about Michelle Melen. If you need a divorce or family law attorney, you will want her to be on your team.

Michelle is amazing, professional and caring. She was a life saver for me!!

The initial consultation was a clear, concise and helpful insight in what I was facing legally with my case. I talked with a few attorneys. (One f them was very expensive.) But I liked her the most. Quick response/Divorce question

Excellent attorney

Michelle is a very intelligent and caring attorney. My case was very complex and Michelle was very quick to file all the paper work. She accomplished everything that I wanted done in my case, and got a final judgement in my favor. She was very patient and supportive though the process and takes the time to get to know her clients. She was very fast to respond to questions I had thought out my case. It’s hard to find an attorney that is so dedicated to help their clients in such a caring way as Michelle did. I would definitely recommend Michelle to other people.

I wish I could give SIX stars

I absolutely, and very highly, recommend Michelle. I really wish I could give her six stars. She made a very daunting, scary and stressful situation (filing for divorce) very manageable and doable. I appreciate how flexible she was with scheduling (and also her prompt response time). She patiently explains things step-by-step, and she was the most affordable lawyer I found. I could feel with each interaction we had that she truly cares about her clients. Great attention to details, very impressed.

I had initial consultation with Michelle Melen, she asked the right questions, listened carefully, was very quick to understand the situation and explained in great detail about the problem I'm in, and how to approach it. I was seeking advice regarding false TRO/DV case that was filed by my wife. Since I'm on visa and decided to quit my job, the problem become more complex to solve. Michelle Melen walked me through the approach to take with great care and undivided attention. I would definitely hire her in the future. Divorce - Made a little easier.....

No divorce is ever easy but in my case Michelle Melen made that process just a little easier. Great and Intelligent Lawyer

Michelle is and has been a true Blessing to my Divorce and Custody Case. She is very available and there for you. I'm so very glad that she absolutely took on my difficult case and stayed optimistic. She is extremely intelligent and knows the Law. She always followed through and was very punctual. She was also accommodating as I live in San Jose and her office is in Redwood City. Child Custody Battle

I recommend Michelle Melen to handle family law cases. I replaced my first lawyer with Michelle and I was very happy I chose her. Her rate was one half lower and she was more attentive to my case. I can call and talk to her anytime. English is my second Language. Michelle has a lot of patience, explaining to me, coaching before mediation. I was able to get 50/50 custody of my child with child support and spousal support even though the judge had already granted temporary full custody of my child by my husband. If I did not get Michelle as my lawyer, I probably would not have got what I wanted. Thank you Michelle. Jennet.
