Amanda Kathleen Moran

 I practice criminal law almost exclusively, and truly love my job! I am a passionate advocate for my clients, and I believe that every person charged with a crime deserves to have an attorney that they can trust. I value integrity in my representation above all else, and fight to protect my client’s Federal and State Constitutional rights at all stages of the criminal proceedings! The only way our Criminal Justice System will work effectively, is for Criminal Defense Attorneys to fight for their clients and to hold the Government and Law Enforcement accountable-which is what we do here at The Moran Law Firm!

I have worked on all tyeps of criminal cases from simple misdemeanor trials to complex death penalty cases! I am presently handeling many high-profile homicides, violent sex crime matters, and have served as the second chair attorney on a death penalty case. I have written and argued successful Appeals and Writs of Mandamus with the Fresno Superior Court, the Fifth District Court of Appeal, and Petitions for Writ of Certiorari to the California Supreme Court. I love the courtroom, I respect my clients, and I fight hard at all stages of the criminal proceedings. I've had serious felony cases dismissed on the day of trial! I have obtained successful jury verdicts for my clients in felony and misdemeanor cases, as well as obtained fair and reasonable plea agreements for those who wish to settle their matters outside of the courtroom.
I handle almost all types of criminal cases; however, the majority of my practice is devoted to sex crimes, violent crimes against the person, attempted homicide and homicides with special circumstances. I work with a team of Private Investigators, Forensic Experts, Certified Law Clerks, Paralegals and Attorneys to ensure that each case receives the individualized attention that it needs!

I recently attended the 2019 National Criminal Defense College, a prestigious training program in Rhode Island, focused on developing my advanced Criminal Defense Trial Skills. I have also received specialized training at the 2017 and 2018, Capital Defense Training Conference in San Diego, California; the 2016 Post-Conviction Appeals Conference in San Francisco, California; The 2017 Colorado Method Capital Jury Selection Training in Boulder, Colorado; the 2017 Santa Clara Death Penalty College, and the 2018 Advanced Cross-Examination Training in San Francisco. I strive to stay educated and updated on the most current legal principles, and appreciate the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest legal defense minds of our time.
