I hired her for divorce and custody, she did nothing, she wont keep apts. getting her to return call in emergency for get it. I was being put threw hell and she did nothing. She actually ended my with me losing 16,000. She was never prepared for court, always late, would meet with her clients at star...bucks! No folks not kidding when I let her go she said good as she didn't have the time for my case in the first place!! well then don't take someone's money and then do nothing!!!! I am turning her in to bar assoc., with proof of my claim...

she told me she can help me out with my case. I had to keep calling and texting her to find out what was going on. She wouldn't get back to me till a week later. I had to tell her I was going to contact the DA's office, right away she returned my call saying for me to put myself on calendar and the j...udge would appoint her out to my case and from there we can move forward. The next day she called and told me she couldn't help me out to find someone else. I told her if she would have told me sooner I would have did the work on my own from the start, I thanked her for wasting a month of time. All I know she is RUDE, LAZY & ALWAYS LATE FOR COURT. I don't recommend her AT ALL.. I know if she reads this she'll know who I am right off the back lol

I would not recommend her nor will I ever use her services again. She promoted herself shamelessly throughout the fleeting visit instead of taking the time to find out more about the case from me. She neither proposed nor was interested in a strategy, and never explained the evidence the DA had. She ...was so busy that she showed up rarely in court. Melina never responded to my mail to here requesting discovery information, or any of my attempts to contact her.She didn't even answer my requests for renegotiating bail. She was far from collaborative and in no way took my wishes into consideration.

Worst representation I've ever seen. The best decision I made was to find another attorney. While incarcerated I heared repeatedly that Melina was a great choice for the small public defender list of kings county public defenders. When meeting her I immediately felt her immense ego. Felt like I was l...istening to a car salesman when she said what she could do for me but I sat in jail for 3 months and she never met with me once. Would set up appointments and never showed. Was late to the courtroom and never seemed to take it very seriously. She kept trying to put me off saying she needed time. I did all the work to get things together and couldn't even get in contact with her. Was with her assistant Daniel most of the time and he has no idea what he's doing. Worst part was my case was serious I feared if I stayed with her I would have legitimately been arrested for 30 years.

We hired Ms Benninghoff a year ago initially she showed great interest in the case and the client but eventually all that dissipated. She never made an effort to communicate and would send her "step in" Daniel Baldridge who had no idea what the case was all about and go to court unprepared. Ms. Be...nninghoff only showed up a couple of times for the court dates. Never discuss or sit down in person with the client of how the case was going. She made a lot of promises but never kept any. From the start she said she will deal with it when she was ready, its absurd over a year she is was still not ready or shown interest. We basically did all the foot work in gathering all documents to help out in the case but it was still not appreciated.
