I would not recommend Sue to a friend. She was unprepared, confused my case with other clients she had (which is no big deal but made me feel like she didn't recall important details) She made a suggestion to counter to the other parties lawyer and when it come back rejected she agreed that it wouldn...'t hold up in court. I don't know if this was just a tactic, but if it wasn't something that would be valid in a court, then why suggest it in the first place? If you do hire her, make sure you take detail notes of everything so if later on in the process she forgets then you have the information that was discussed.

Moravec

My experiences with Sue was that she had months to put together a strong defense in my behalf and failed to do so. The day of court Sue asked me to help her calculate figures of the petitioners bank statements that she had in her possession a month prior to the hearing. She had to call her assistan...t to bring her items to present in the hearing which, was a clear indication she was not prepared for court. I had discussed many specific facts with her prior to the hearing and the day of court she seemed to have forgotten most of the important facts. The petitioner requested a production of documents that needed to be responded to in a timely matter or else sanctions would be applied to me. Sue did not even inform me of the requests nor did she fill them out and complete them. Most importantly after the hearing I had called her needing questions to be answered and there was more paper work that needed to be filled out and filed. Sue would not get back to me. I do believe she has had other complaints in that regard. I was extremely dissappointed with her representation.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
