Trevor Clifford Creel

I hired Trevor for a traffic ticket citation as he was recommended by another attorney. I paid Trevor a $350 fee directly via square and for receipt via email. That was the only record/documentation I had with him. Trevor’s communication with me was very minimal. He called me and told me he would tur...n up in court at the specified time of trial. That was the last I heard from him. I called him on the day an hour before trial to remind him that I would be joining him there. I image he was in court, which is why he didn’t respond. I turned up 15 minutes early and the court session was already in progress. Since I hadn’t met Trevor and he has no photo anywhere that I could find, I had no idea what he looked like. Trevor did not inform me trial was starting early and assumed I did not turn up, although I did and it was early. When I arrived in the courtroom 10 minutes before scheduled appearance, I did not interrupt the session and heard my name being butchered by the judge who actually questioned if i was male or female. Cop was prepared, and I was pronounced guilty. Trevor and I spoke afterwards and he offered me an apology. No refund offered, but was not expected. Trevor’s lack of communication really disappointed me. Trevor is nice, but not a go getter. Lesson learned.

I would highly recommend Mr. Creel as an attorney. He is very dedicated to his clients. I appreciated his tireless efforts to help me with my legal problems. He was always prompt to call me back. In court he worked very hard to explain everything in a way I could understand. He takes his cases to h...eart and I feel he served us 100%.

Almost 1 year ago, my daughter was arrested and given an "MIP" minor in possession at Cal Poly SLO. I called the college and asked several parents I knew for referrals to an attorney who could help us. I called 5 attorneys and immediately found Trevor Creel different. He was immediately responsive, p...atiently listened to me and then gave me realistic expectations an instructions, if I decided to hire him. We did hire Trevor and he took OUTSTANDING, professional care of my daughter and our family. Nearly a month ago, the problem surfaced again - it should not have - and I called Trevor. Again, he was immediately responsive, emailed the appropriate documents he had filed, and told me exactly what to do. There is no better attorney in the area and I give Trevor Creel my highest recommendation for any offense involving alcohol, etc.

Mr. Creel is a very likeable man. His gentle demeanor and initial interest during my traumatic criminal case was initially appreciated (he was the 3rd private attorney I retained in this matter). I was lulled into believing I had a chance to resolve my issue, but instead, with no warning or time to... decide I was issued an offer of a plea bargain or a prison term, decide now, and go into court in 10 minutes and swear you were not coerced into your decision. Yeah, ok, so I did that and lived through the consequences of not only my actions, but my decision to hire this attorney. At the time of my conviction, he was "so sorry". My probation officer, the other probation person that did my evaluation and pretty much everyone I have talked to since then could not fathom my outcome, even with my own questionable behavior. I can live with that part, what happened next was his promise to have my charges "expunged" or reduced after my probation ended. He asked for more money even though originally he told me he would do it for free. It was a nominal amount but still I paid it and then called him a dozen times asking him to forward me anything he had from the court to bolster his information that the felony charge had been expunged because we could not verify. Fast forward 8 months and I am still fighting to get some verification that he did this work. Last night his secretary finally answered after 11 messages and told me she would email and mail me the paperwork. When I did not receive it AGAIN this morning I called, did not raise my voice, use offensive language or in any way be disrespectful and she hangs up on me after telling me he has no way of scanning and emailing the document (something she told me she had already done). Mr. Creel is a nice man, a marginal lawyer and on his own "somewhat adequate". If you are in trouble, hire someone with more experience. If you will require any assistance with your case other than a quicky court appearance, hire someone with a staff and experience. I think he would be far more effective in family law or personal injury. He should not, in my opinion, be involved with the criminal court system. He is too nice and too inexperienced and does not have adequate administrative back up to be effective in this genre.
