Peter Chang

Hired Peter for a traffic ticket case, when he communicated with me, he didn't provide professional explanation about attorney's professional view of the case or what/why/how to handle the case clearly. Peter seems always busy and wants to close conversation quickly, instead of provide clear answers ...for client's questions. I had to do lots of my own research and guess what he will do for my case, and asked him the reason of his advise is because of this or that. Definitely not a good experience.

I was cited for speeding in Kern County Ca while driving a commercial vehicle. I hired Mr Chang to represent me as I live in Washington State. After a couple of phone calls and a few emails he set a court date and shortly after I received a letter thanking me for my business and letting me know my t...icket had been dismissed. I spoke to Mr. Peter Chang today. I was referred to him by the Ventura County Bar Association. I was told I would have a 30 minute consultation with Mr. Chang, and qould be ablw to discuss my case, and that he would inform me if he could help or not. I spoke for roughly 4 minutes explaining my si...tuation, during which i was interrupted. He told me his fee would be $3,500 and asked if i could pay, I said yes, and he proceeded to ask me for payment information. I stopped and told him i thought i would be getting a consultation. He asked me if i was "looking for free advice." I explained that i could pay and that was not the issue, but was concerned that he hadnt heard the details of the case and was asking for payment. He asked 3 more times if i was looking for free advice and then explained that i had messed up the process and he would have to go clean up the mess i made. I ended up saying i did not need his help and hung up.

I hired Peter Chang for a traffic ticket I got in DT San Luis 40 in a 25 on Santa Rosa/Mill day before New Years. I hired Peter hoping he would be able to help me. I reviewed my case with him and he charged me $500. Cheapest I could find in San Luis who could handle my case. I was found not guilty ...of speeding! I was very happy Other lawyers in the area didnt seem as helpful or as cheap..I got anywhere from 650-$1200 from others. Highly knowledgeable I would use again. Thanks Peter. A+
