I had Mr. Bettencourt assist me responding to a demand letter and my rights as a citizen to be heard on an issue of public concern. He truly impressed me with his intellect, legal knowledge, and timely action. His written response was succinct, fact based, firm, and professional. His actions left me feeling the matter was in the best of hands. He carefully read through my supporting documentation; accurately assessed the situation and then some; and appreciated my point of view and concerns. Mr. Bettencourt went further and guided me to on-line reference materials that helped me understand what was happening. Mr. Bettencourt is a cut-above attorney.
Donna Wahlberg, Family Attorney
Relationship: Worked together on matter
I have worked on several family law cases with Mr. Bettencourt and was impressed with his work ethic , quality of research and legal document preparation and his agressive advocacy for his clients. Mr. Bettencourt has been practicing law for over15 years including civil litigation, criminal law and has most recently been emphasizing family law. Civil practice and experience is a large component of family law practice. Further, because current or past criminal matters pertaining to either party can affect the outcome of certain family law issues, Mr. Bettencourt's past employment as a peace officer and his experience in criminal law/litigation gives him an insight and edge that many family law attorneys/practioners do not have. I highly recommend Mr. Bettencourt as an attorney to represent clients in family law, criminal and civil litigation matters.
