I'm in serious debt because of this attorney. If you are taken in by her smiling, breezy attitude beware of their crazy disregard for explanations when a client is confused. Sitting in the waiting area or having coffee around the corner can be very enlightening. When a parent is distraught because ...CA's Family Law system can remove a child from the home without even VISITING the other parent, it should be Family Lawlessness. Thousands of dollars later and I STILL haven't seen the JUDGE only the attorneys can meet with her.

Mine is a case where my 15 year old son was taken by his girlfriends family 4 hours away to live with them after I voiced concern at their family values and my sons dropping grades and increasing attitude. This is my 3rd teenage boy so I know the difference between "normal" behavior and abnormal. Ms.... Hosford files papers that actually ALLOWED the non-familial party to be attached to the case and gain temporary guardianship! This was all mentioned at the proceeding to be VERY against the norm as there was no evidence that there was any abuse or unsafe conditions in the home. My other two children ages 10 and 13 still reside with me. After the temporary orders were issued, Ms. Hosford failed to follow through on a response and I ended up with visitation that actually was WORSE than the court suggested on the date of the order. I did not hire or meet with Ms. Hosford but ended up with her poor representation after hiring Stephen Hosford who I now know is her husband. Two days after hiring him, the whole family (that is everyone that works in both of their offices) left for Hawaii. I am filing a complaint with the Bar in California as I finally had to communicate by email only so I could document the gross negligence in getting my questions answered or problems resolved. Most recently I sent 6 emails in one day asking the same four questions. I bolded the questions and made it very clear what I was looking for at the advice of another attorney. Ms. Hosford took all day and several responses (all of which she charged for) and never answered the question!!!! She tried to get me to call and when I explained that I wanted documentation of how much time they wasted she then refused again to answer via email. This person and the FIRM are completely negligent with other peoples lives. I would recommend you stay as far as possible from them.
