Best DUI attorney in CA

Very satisfied with the results I got from George on my case. I definitely recommend him for an attorney if anyone is involved with a DUI!

Take a Breath... George Has it Under Control!

I received a DUI in SLO last December. I felt overwhelmed, as I am sure anyone in my situation does. I found George O'Neill online and was so glad I did. He really looks over your case to find the best way to move forward. My situation was pretty cut and dry, but still he was an enormous help. It fel...t really good to hand my paperwork over to George and feel confident knowing he had everything under control. He shows up in court for you, so I didn't have to miss work or deal with appearing in front of the judge which would surely have been a bit stressful/emotional. Also, he was able to get my license suspension started within a day or two, which has been helpful because it was that much sooner before I could serve out my suspension. He is also very friendly and makes you feel like he cares. He goes over your options for alcohol programs, SR-22 insurance, book & release vs. community service, etc, and really covers all of the bases and makes you feel like you know what is going on. You can email (or even text!) him at any time and he responds very quickly. I had so many questions through the process about my license, job, fine payment, etc and he was always quick and helpful. After my appointment at his office, he even offered to drive me to register for my DUI class when he realized it would be closing for the weekend soon. He also set up my fine payments for me, saving me another difficult trip to SLO without a license. All in all, I would recommend George to anyone who finds themselves in the same situation I once was in. He really puts you at ease and makes the entire process as painless as possible.

SAVED my commercial license

I hold a commercial drivers license and without it I am out of a job. A DUI or a DMV suspension of my commercial licensefor one year was going to cost me $100,000/ year job. I retained Mr. O'neill, but in the beginning he painted a very bleak picture for my situation, but he said that he would do e...verything possible! The DMV case and the DUI case lasted some months which allowed me to save up for my anticipated unemployment. One day I received a call from George telling me that half of the battle was over and I was still good to go, He had found an error in the arrest report with the breathalyzer certification that beat the DMV portion on a technicality. I still had the DUI case to battle, and George had set a date for jury trial as it appeared to be the only way to save the license completely. The D.A. just would not give in. I was prepared to spend a ton of money considering legal fees and expert fees let alone my loss of work. I few days before trial Mr. Oneill contacted me with an offer that I/we couldn't refuse. He managed to finally get the charges reduced to a reckless driving (fine, night in jail, classes, NO LOSS OF LICENSE!!) Case over, job still intact, and all of those $$$ that I saved are still in my pocket. Thanks, George

Great Lawyer!

One weekend I headed over to the beach from the Valley for some rest and relaxation, but the SLO County jail was not supposed to be part of the plan. I left SLO with a record at the County jail, a driver's license that was going to be suspended for a year, a misdemeanor DUI charge, and a return i...nvitation to appear for arraignment at the San Luis Obispo Courthouse. I hired Mr. O'Neill based on recommendations. He handled both the DMV suspension matter and the court case for me. In short I did not lose my license for even a day but Mr. O'Neill said that I definitely dodged a bullet and that was definitely not the norm. The DUI was satisfactorily resolved too; I will not be returning to SLO... at least not to serve a jail sentence!

Everything handled from miles away

I live in southern California and was arrested in San Luis Obispo for DUI.Â I never actually met Mr. O'Neill but would like to say that after he heard that I was in the military,Â he offered to help me by reducing his fee.Â His office is in San Luis Obispo and he took care of everything very well ...for me.Â He knew everything that needed to be done to help me through a very difficult situation with the DMV and the court. He is readily available through email and phone and his office staff were happy to help me as well. Mr. O'Neil was informative every step of the way and I feel no other lawyer could have done the better job.
