He then subpoenaed all the evidence in my case, including the video of my driving and arrest, and he studied this evidence very closely, identifying every instance where the arresting officer had lied on the police report and poking holes in the prosecution's case. In the end, the DMV set aside my suspension and returned my license, and with their case against me now eviscerated by Earl, the prosecution was reduced to offering me a deal where I would plea to reckless driving, without the presence of alcohol (Dry Reckless), which I accepted. I have no doubt that had I chosen to spend the time and money to go to trial with Earl, we would have prevailed. But I live in Southern California and it simply did not make economic sense for me to push the matter to trial. If you get in trouble and need a skilled advocate, I highly recommend Earl Conaway.
