Mike did a good job on my case, as much as he could. However I have unfortunately been in the family law system over 10 years and have had numerous attys and I have to say the paralegal is horrible. If you want to pay someone to tell you what to do not show any care for your case and make you feel li...ke a nuisance then his paralegal is for you. The worst I have experienced to date.

Mr. Carlovsky is very professional, knowledgeable, and has surrounded himself with an excellent team in his office. Mr. Carlovsky’s paralegal Sarah Stertzbach is very punctual in filing the paperwork and would always return my phone calls. First, they assisted in filing a substitution of attorney be...cause my first retained attorney, who is much respected in the Bakersfield area, did not provide a reasonable professional service. Mr. Carlovsky had my case resolved in a very timely manner which saved me thousands of dollars in legal cost. If you want an attorney who has the patience to listen to you so they understand your family law needs, but is a bull in the courtroom to produce results, retain the Carlovsky’s Team.

I have been extremely pleased with Mr. Carlovsky and his legal team. He is the third attorney on my divorce case (the first one retired a year into the process and the second one closed her law practice to become a Court Commissioner). Ever since I hired him I have actually been making progress on ...my divorce and the end is in sight. Mr. Carlovsky is no-nonsense and he explains all of the intricacies of Kern County Family Court so that I understand the entire process and I know what to expect. I especially love his paralegal, Sarah, who I have been working with closely with throughout the proceedings. She is extremely helpful, professional, and efficient. Valle, the receptionist, is also amazing. With so much at stake, you want an attorney that you can trust. I am very happy to have such a tenacious legal team as Mr. Carlovsky and Sarah working on my case.

Prior to reaching out to Carlovsky, I originally signed on with another attorney because I felt comfortable with that attorney. After 8 years, you realize comfort is not what does best in court. I truly wish I would have signed on with Mike and his amazing team in the beginning, as I know things wo...uld have been different for us. I have been blessed to be with their offices for about 5 years now, and I haven’t looked back. We have had excellent results in court, and I have never been fed a false narrative about what will be done for us. I’ve read the other reviews, and was surprised. I’ve worked with both Sara and Charlie. They are both professional and extremely well-versed in their knowledge of family law. Unfortunately, their business is not an easy one. Family law is built on emotions and an overburdened system. I would recommend their law offices (and have on numerous occasions) to anyone going through a divorce or custody dispute. They are passionate about their work and fair with their clients. If you truly understood what they do both in court and behind the scenes, there would be no complaints. Invoices are thoroughly detailed defining each charge, and have never included any questionable items. Divorce, especially that involving child custody, is absolutely awful, but Mike and his staff have made our journey far easier.

I hired Michael Carlovsky and his competent team to assist me in my family law matter. Mike is very knowledgeable and worked extremely hard on my behalf. He will give you sound legal advice, which will include being honest about what can and cannot be legally done. I like that he is realistic abou...t what can be accomplished within the law.
