Kimberly A. Ungar is senior counsel in the Bakersfield office of Borton Petrini, LLP.  She received her undergraduate degree in legal studies from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994.  Upon graduating from Berkeley, Kim accepted admission to the University of Southern California Law School and received her Juris Doctorate in 1997.

On completing law school, and seeking a smaller community in which to practice, Kim settled in Bakersfield, California.  She started her career with an emphasis on general civil litigation, business, real estate, construction litigation, bankruptcy litigation, and oil and gas law.

As her career developed, Kim handled numerous complex litigation cases, including appellate work before California District Courts, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

At Borton Petrini, Kim’s primary practice is focused in the area of family law.  She currently handles dissolution proceedings, child custody and visitation issues, child and spousal support, property division, domestic violence matters, guardianships, adoptions, and post-judgment modifications.  She also continues to practice in the area of civil litigation and other areas.

Kim enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, gardening and learning just about anything.
