A native of Bakersfield, David attended Bakersfield High School, where he served as the Student Body President. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara, before going to law school at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. Following graduation, he returned to Bakersfield and joined the firm in 1977, where he would eventually became a partner five years later.
Over the course of his career, David has obtained numerous multi-million dollar results on behalf of his clients. He obtained a $4 million verdict in a wrongful death case involving an airplane crash, and also obtained a six-figure verdict on behalf of a man injured in an oilfield accident. He has also obtained numerous six-figure results on behalf of clients who were the victims of elder abuse.
David has previously served as past President of the San Joaquin Valley Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and on the Board of Directors for the Kern County Bar Association. For years, he served on the Board of Directors for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), an organization that supplies neglected children with an advocate in court. He has also been deeply committed to the issue of neglected elders and nursing home care. David has been a legal services provider and panel member for the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform, a group that advocates and promotes pro bono work and education about elder abuse.
