David grew up in Bakersfield, graduating from West High School, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame, before going on to receive my bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California. Shortly thereafter, he obtained a law degree from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. While in law school, he clerked for then Federal Public Defender, John Van de Kamp. Following graduation, he returned to Bakersfield and joined the firm and eventually became the managing partner in 2000.
Over the course of his career, David has obtained numerous multi-million dollar results on behalf of his clients. He recovered $10 million on behalf of a man who suffered serious burn injuries in an oilfield accident, and another $10 million on behalf of a motorcyclist who lost his leg in a crash with an industrial vehicle. He obtained $8.8 million settlement in an auto accident case in which two people were struck and killed by a Sheriff's deputy patrol car.
He is a member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), where he has held various board leadership roles. He also previously served on the Board of Governors for the Consumer Attorneys of California and as past president of the Kern County Trial Lawyers Association.
