I was facing jail time and John got my charge reduced from felony to misdemeanor with stipulations that when retribution is paid and I finished my degree I could revisit the court and have the charge dismissed altogether. John ensured this charge wouldn't affect my children or my job. He's thorough, ...yet calm, cool and collected in the court room. John really cares about his clients lives and what's at stake if convictions arise. He's absolutely worth every penny of his fee,which is less than many other attorneys in the area. We hired John Patrick Ryan to obtain custody of my children. We paid him about $6000 to represent us and get the mentally unstable mother of my children to court. With every court date we were disappointed to find out that the mother had not been served and therefore did not show up to court. With ea...ch of these disappointments came more demands of money, and more promises of how the court would hold the mother in contempt of court if she did not show. We were promised that the last time... when we attempted only simple visitation of my children, that if she did not show, I would be granted full custody of my children. There were so many empty promises made and yet nothing was accomplished. Of course, then came more demands for more money. This attorney drained us. we lost our home and had to relocate with family, trying to just see my children again and were left with nothing to show for it but a drained bank account. If we can find a way to redeem ourselves from this, we will be seeking action against this man. Not only did he take our money, but continuously fed a desperate father false hopes of being reunited with his children. The previous reviews prove that he is obviously a good attorney to go to if you are in a bind over a dwi or other crime related case, but I would not recommend going to him for custody, visitation, or family matters as he obviously lacks compassion and cares much about the profit.

John is a great lawyer and a good person he was always professional and always did his best to explain what was going on and how things worked in the courtroom. He reduced my two strike felony charge with 9 years in prison to a simple felony where i probably wont even do any real jail time just three... months on an ankle monitor. John was also very good at making the decisions that were best for me not for his own wallet like a lot of other lawyers i wont mention. But to put it in plain and simple language i wouldn't recommend any lawyer I've ever worked with except for John he treated me with respect and talked to me like a normal human being.
