Michelle Erika Roberson

Michelle (who used to be with a firm in New Jersey appears to have started her own practice called the The Roberson Firm in California) helped me out with a contract dispute I was having. I work in the media design and development industry and my client's website was hacked. The client went after me ...because my firm developed their website for them. While we developed the website, we were not responsible for the maintenance and care of the site after development. It is due to the poor maintenance that the website was hacked. This is where the the contract dispute arose. Many allegations were thrown my way by my former customer's council and none of them were true. They were looking for loss of sales as well as punitive damages. I decided I needed someone with a solid understanding of the law and a lawyer capable of truly fighting for me. I met with a couple different lawyers and they all had a decent knowledge of contract disputes. Where Michelle stood out was the fight in her eyes, her professionalism, and her instinct to the case. I had thought I was looking for a male lawyer originally (as this is what you usually see on TV being the most aggressive), but I decided Michelle was my ace in the hole. I figured she would be underestimated by opposing council due to her relatively green appearance (she's young, and if you didn't know any better, you'd assume she was inexperienced). However, this is a fatal mistake for opposing council to make. Michelle fired off a couple of strongly worded letters right out of the gate attacking the "facts" as well as the method that my ex-customer's council was utilizing. Within a couple weeks we received a notice from opposing council that their client was no longer interested in pursuing this matter. I couldn't believe how fast that was resolved! While I had hoped this could be resolved in this matter, I had no question of having her take it to trial if necessary. The only reason she didn't get a 5 star on "Kept me informed" is, perhaps, I am a bit of a micro-manager and need constant updates. Other than that, Michelle was wonderful and she is now on our speed dial as our official company council.
