"Cumulative Trauma Injury"

Words cannot adequately express how grateful I am to Daniel K. Simon, Carolyn Layfield, and their entire staff. Originally, I injured my lower back lifting a bag of money. My employer refused to accommodate my injury. I became stressed so bad that I couldn’t explain what had happened to me. Someh...ow, Carolyn understood what I was saying and explained my legal position so I could understand it. “Cumulative Trauma Injury.” Carolyn made sure that I got the best Medical and Psychiatric care. She prepared me for both the Medical and Psychiatric Qualified Medical Examinations, as well as, my Deposition. Workers’ Compensation was fighting pretty hard to deny my benefits, but they were “NO MATCH” for Carolyn Layfield. Carolyn made sure I have a future. I worked as an American Bar Association Accredited Paralegal for over 30 years prior to becoming a Delivery Driver during the pandemic. I know what constitutes a “Great Attorney.” Carolyn is an “Exceptional Attorney.” I am fortunate that she represented me, and I would not hesitate to have her represent me in the future. Thank you…

A Working Man's Representative

I contacted Mr. Simon in 2009 to seek legal advice/representation for a workman's compensation suit. I consulted with him and was excited to have such an experienced attorney represent me in my case. Through the case he really seemed to care about what I was going through and worked hard to see me be...nefit in the end. We won that case and I have since hired him to represent me in another matter. I highly recommend Mr. Simon in matters of law.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
