An Exceptional Attorney, a Fierce Advocate, and a Woman to Look Up To

Michelle Evans is truly an extraordinary attorney and an incredible woman. From the very first conversation, she made me feel heard, understood, and supported. What stood out to me most was that even before I had officially retained her, she took the time to listen and offer guidance with my daughter...’s best interests at heart. That alone told me everything I needed to know about the kind of person she is. Michelle is strong, capable, compassionate, and fiercely dedicated to the families she represents. She is the kind of woman who stands her ground, fights for what is right, and makes you feel that you are not facing the battle alone. She combines exceptional legal knowledge with genuine heart, and that is a rare and powerful combination. Our family will forever be grateful for what Michelle helped accomplish for our daughter, Sophie. Through her hard work, dedication, and unwavering commitment, she helped bring us through a difficult chapter and toward a future filled with peace, security, and happiness. One of the most meaningful outcomes was seeing Sophie finally able to share the same last name as the rest of our family — and, most importantly, her real dad, the man who has always loved her, supported her, and been there for her. Seeing the joy and peace this has brought to our daughter is something we will never forget. Michelle didn't just help us navigate a legal case. She helped change our daughter's life. That is something no amount of words could ever fully express, and something our family will always be grateful for. If you are looking for an adoption attorney who will listen to you, treat your family with compassion, fight for your child's best interests, and stand beside you when it matters most, I cannot recommend Michelle Evans highly enough. She is a true warrior in her profession — strong, intelligent, determined, and deeply caring. She is also a woman worth looking up to, and someone I will always respect and be thankful for. Thank you, Michelle, for using your strength and expertise to make such a meaningful difference in our daughter's life. You will always hold a special place in our family's hearts. With deepest gratitude, The Islas Family

Michelle is a Class Act

Michelle Evans was recommended to me by an immigration attorney as I had a complicated adoption file. All I can say is that my experience with Michelle was top notch, class Act service. I felt completely safe and in good hands with Michelle and her assigned paralegal Cameron Harber who is equally as ...exceptional. I can't recommend Michelle more fully. Michelle is transparent and very fare with her rates and it is aligned with the responsiveness and exceptional service that you will receive. Thank you, Michelle and Cameron!

A resounding "no!"

Harmed my family law case and children immensely. Did virtually nothing for me or my children except damage us. Went on vacation a week after getting my retainer which she promised to return due to her dismal and non-existent advocacy and then did not return it as promised. Was essentially advoca...ting for the opposing party and kept trying to use scare tactics that the other side would utilize legal manuveurs which they never did. Financial knowledge and legal knowledge severely lacking. From personal experience I would strongly suggest you do not hire this attorney.

Granddaughter in Foster Care

We have had minimal dealings with the legal system prior to our granddaughter being placed in the foster care system. We quickly found out that we had no legal status in the courts and had no knowledge of how the process worked. As foster parents, the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) ...job is to protect the rights and confidentiality of the biological parents. We absolutely didn’t understand the process, didn’t know what our rights were, or how to protect our granddaughter. It would be an understatement to say we were scared to death. We do not live in Ventura County and did not know whom to speak with or trust. Thankfully, we were referred to Michelle Evans, an attorney who practices in Santa Barbara and Ventura County. Ms. Evans is extremely knowledgeable regarding the Ventura County Juvenile Dependency Court. She explained the process to my husband and myself. She was available for all our questions and was fully prepared for every court date. She is an excellent lawyer and all that you would expect from a professional office., but we were not prepared for her level of compassion, and her ability to truly empathize with us. She was a voice of reason for us during a very scary time. She reassured and explained to us what happened after every court date. Having an attorney, gave us the legal access to the DCFS proceedings to make sure our granddaughter was going to be taken care of and her needs would be met. We were so impressed with Michelle Evans that we invited her to the court adoption hearing. We can honestly say that with Ms. Evans you will receive the best legal advice and representation available. We have trusted her expertise with our most cherished granddaughter, and we are extremely thankful for all of her help. We truly hope we never need to hire another attorney, but if we do, the only one we would call is Michelle Evans

A great family lawyer who cares about her clients

Michelle Evans represented me in a family law custody case in 2014-2015. She was knowledgeable, helpful, responsible, and always kept me well informed. She gave me great advice from day one and was always extremely truthful and direct. She managed her time/my money effectively and in a fair way, nev...er charging frivolously or wasting her time/my money on things that were not of importance. She was always extremely well organized and always filed my paperwork on time. She was hard working and dedicated to doing everything she could to help me. The advice she gave me was always extremely helpful and came from a wealth of knowledge and experience. When it came to litigation, Michelle was on point. Nothing got past her in the court room. She was great about asking the right questions at the right time in the right way and she was a fierce litigator who fought to get her point across. Michelle had a great paralegal who didn't waste time and provided useful assistance on a regular basis. Her price is fair and she is great at keeping you informed about how your money is working for you. Most of all, Michelle really cared about my case. She had a true desire to help me and did all that she could to get me what I was asking for. I highly recommend the services of Michelle Evens and will definitely use her again in the future.
