Cynthia Ellington, is not one you want to be represented by! She is incompetent. Never once did she visit my grandson in jail! Never responded to his calls or mine. Even though I was listed as a person who could speak on my grandsons behalf. Never once did she visit my grandson in jail or call me bac...k! When I attempted to approach her after a hearing, she just blew me off like I was an idiot! Cynthia is just going through the motions to get her paycheck! She doesn't give a crap about her clients. If only the poor could afford an attorney, my grandsons life would be a different story!

Cynthia was a great attorney. My mother didn’t have money to hire a lawyer so we were pretty worried when an attorney was appointed to us. I went to felony court 5 times for my arraignment because each time I appeared Ellington was not present. When she was finally in court and I was one of few people left in the court room because my case wasn't called yet, she came up to me and asked "who's your public defender handling your case?" I ...told her Cynthia Ellington. This was my 6th time in court for my 1st appearance/arraignment and she had no idea who I was or what my charges were. When she called me later to go over my discovery packet she pretty much told me that I'm guilty of my charges because of the police statements. I am truly not guilty of the alleged crime but I do not have a good defense attorney so since I don't have money I'm stuck with a public pretender. When I appeared in court for my early disposition conference she didn't have my discovery packet to show me and I actually had done more research and had papers to prove my innocence but she didn't seem to care. All she wanted was for me to sign a guilty plea for 2 felonies I didn't commit, which served a 6 month jail sentence. It seemed to me that she had so many cases mine was an easy case for her to try to get me to sign a b.s. deal and get me out of the way. I even fired her once and some how I was still stuck with her because no other public defenders had time to review my case and provide me with proper defense.
