Very satisfied client
I have been a client for the last three years, and have consistently been better represented and advised than at any other point in a thirty year career in the arts. Ms Breslauer’s understanding of her clients in my field as well as her considerable negotiating skills have meant that I now approach each new assignment without anxiety and with real peace of mind.

Absolute Confidence
The attorney-client relationship requires diplomacy, tact, consideration and of course the ability to communicate, in layman’s terms, the intricacies of the matter at hand. In all my years working with institutions large and small as well as managing artists, musicians and performers in every field, I have never been better represented or felt I was in more capable hands than with Jan Breslauer as my attorney.

Outstanding Instincts and Strategy
Ms. Breslauer is leading me through, among other matters, a somewhat complicated writing and directing opportunity. Her gut instincts about the players and her business/legal savvy are spot on and invaluable. She also has a strong background in the performing arts and understand the needs of creatives. In the best lawyering all parties benefit. If and when this deal comes together I know that both my employer and I will benefit from her clarity and honesty. The employer and their counsel will know that I and my counsel are class acts who bring great value to the project. I am in very strong and astute hands with Ms. Breslauer and have highly recommended her to colleagues in the business.

Experienced and effective
Jan Breslauer is an amazing advocate. She worked in the entertainment industry for so long and in so many different ways (writer, producer, producing director... find the list yourself, I don't remember it all) that she's been through everything already. Jan understands what it feels like to be an individual creative-type facing an overwhelming onslaught of professional legality. She is always patient and sympathetic with me, but fiercely -- and effectively -- protective on my behalf. If you need help, there's no one better. Jan Breslauer is a pit bull in heels.

INCREDIBLE
I was taking my families company from a commercial entity to a 501c3 nonprofit corporation for a live theatre space we were running. I hired Jan to take me through every step of the process. She was so well versed in the IRS application for a 501c3. She laid out a timeline and helped me hit every goal. She helped me through many complications and kept us moving forward. All our filings were complete and on time. Jan worked so well with others in my company as well as other lawyers my company already had involved. After sorting out the issues that might have complicated my application we received our IRS approval in less that 7 months from the day I started working with Jan. Jan’s attention to detail and knowledge of my case was incredible at every turned. I am so grateful for all her work on my case.

Brilliant and Trustworthy
Jan consulted with us about an entertainment matter and walked us through the entire process. Our legal issue at first seemed insurmountable. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. She made sure each stage of our case was "bite-sized" and easily "digested." We would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone. She's a brilliant trouble-shooter and helps you consider every angle of your situation.

Patient, precise and positive
Jan explains everything so clear and in away that most anyone can understand. Her documents were always clean and correct. She really took time to weigh in our request before making a recommendation, I didn't feel like my needs were boilerplate.

"I've had the pleasure of knowing Jan for several years. She has taken on the toughest of cases you can imagine and prevailed. Relationship: Worked together on matter
"Jan helped me with a complicated business disagreement that I handled for one of my clients. The matter was outside my practice area, but Jan stepped in to counsel me through some of the litigation issues and the various aspects of the proposed settlement. She is an active member of her local bar community and increases the quality of legal service in LA/OC because of her generosity and intelligence. I recommend her highly."
